Fox Farm Nutrients

Hi All,

I am in the 4th week of my first gfrow with white widow in fox farm ocean forest soil. I started with nutrients this am giving the plants quarter strength of big bloom and grow big. I used the fox farm feeding chart that was provided with the nutrients. I plant on using all three nutrients (grow big/big bloom/tiger bloom).

I have heard that I am only supposed to be giving the nutrients to the plants every other watering...is this true?

I am only watering the plants every five days which is why I am asking if I still should be only giving the nutrients every other watering..for some reason the soil seems to stay fairly moist until 5 days have passed. In any case let me know your thoughts

I use the same stuff and add them everyother watering and the plants are doing fine. Your watering will prob increase as the buds grow so it will even out.. just my thoughts :peace: Imo its always easyer to add more than have to flush your plants!

so how much water should you be giving a plant lets say 2 ft from the base and 18in wide in it's 2nd week of flower. i've heard about the whole 2in under the soil should be moist and that they do better in a drought than in a flood.
i guess what i'm getting at is this... is there a measured amount that any given plant "needs"? or is it more of a "seat of your pants" deal?

Im new at growing but I would have to say that each plant will use a diffrent amount. when I water I fill each plant till water flows from the bottom, wait 20 mins and water again. Hope this helps:bigjoint:

Your plant will suck up all that water a lot faster later in the grow, and you will have to water more often. Stay consistent with adding nutrients every other watering to prevent overwatering/nute burns.

Hey their RIU! I to plan on using the Fox Farms line up and I was wondering when a good time to start feeding would be? I'm at day 18 from seed growing in Black Gold soil.

With FFOF, you should be able to go close to a month from seed without feeding nutrients. With Happy Frog, I'd start nutrients at around 3 weeks. You can feed with every other watering. For my second grow, I was feeding every 4th watering. Started at 1/4 strength, then watered the next 3x, and then increase to 1/2 strength. Will probably go with feeding every 3 waterings next grow.
