Should I un-bag and water and “cook” / air out FFOF or just use it right out the bag?

P.S. probably going to add some humus and Cal/Mg to the soil, but no extra feed/meal.

Running BioCanna nute line on this particular run.

You can use it right out of the bag and it doesn't need anything added, if you add something other than what's in there it may not buffer the PH as well for you

I leave it the way it is and ph to 6.5. Nothing needed for a few weeks to a month or more depending on your setup.

FFOF :

Add more perlite ( 25%to 30% more )
Add Kelp meal / Humus / EWC to round out the mix.

No cooking required ... ph is 6.3 out of bag ... FFOF will feed upfront for 5-6 weeks all by itself.
Recharge medium thruout grow by simply top dressing and watering in more.
Tap ( municipal city ) should have some cal/mag still present ... ph to 6.5 for use.

I’ve been RO for years (hence the NoTill)
My city water is... well it just shouldn’t be used, No Bueno...
I’m up to par on how to do the deed (one with the plant lol) just never used this soil... Not particularly interested in the feeding or buffering effect per se but need a consistent “start” across the board for a side by side comparison flowering “experiment” I’m doing...
Overall just didn’t know if I needed to let er cook or anything first... The plugs will be plenty established when they hit the dirt.

FFOF is ready to run as stated . Minor improvements can be done , but buffering will last for weeks .
Water is water. RO sources from same municipal water source.

Uhm no...water is not just water my friend...RO or reverse osmosis, takes all natural chelated minerals out...

Removes essential minerals: While RO water purifier removes dissolved impurities it removes natural mineral such as iron, magnesium, calcium and sodium which are essential

AND is sourced from “ city water “ ....
Your outside plants , trees , shrubs .... do not take or need “ RO “ water..... Chloramine , benzene , and many other ” non removable “ elements still exist in RO . And it’s use STILL requires user to “ replace the cal/mag “ stripped from it when filtered . All those elements you listed that are removed are important to plant functions as well , so there’s that.

FFOF needs not magic water to operate , only the ph range to match its matrix.

RO helps in starting a lower baseline in PPM ( dissolved solids ) when wanting to control numbers in feed strength , but for already ammended soil , it is a moot point .

Actually you can run FFOF thru entire grow whether auto or photo , with top dress and water ONLY.
No bottles or nute lines required. This is why many growers goof the fuck up with FFOF , they over load an already hot soil .

Weed harvest is actually cleaner , since you are merely charging the medium again with the same soil and plants are already accumulated to it. No synth crap added.
