Foxtails or fattening? Close to harvest help before I ruin it

Hello.

Been a 2-3 weeks since my last post and things are closing in on the endgame. Minor burn but recovered I think.

Anyway the time is closing in, havent kept track on days but its about full time adviced by Nirvana seeds, its Aurora Indica.

Last week there has been some dramatic growth or fatting? Ive had foxtailing in the past on the top of the buds and right now Im confused if I should harvest or let it sit for 1-2 weeks, dont want it to die and lose potential when I for once didnt nuke the plant with nutrients. Pistils are mostly brown, not really receeding yet but tbh I havent seen any pistils receeding into the bud on all the pictures Ive seen on cannabis.

Its a hempy grow, kiss method. Really dried out on these pictures before watering with phd water. Maybe I give it some nutrients tomorrow and a small flush after been sitting today.

Help please before I ruin something.

I think they look pretty decent still. You can't really pay too much attention to when the breeder says they should be done. I just had to go 90+ days on a 10 week strain and 80+ days on an 8 week strain - probably could have easily let them go another week or 2. Mine looked a bit more beat-up than yours and were noticeably cannibalizing themselves by the time I harvested and I still got a bunch of really good bud, so I don't think you really need to worry about killing them. I'd stay the course for another week or two and see how they're looking then.

thanks.

Would you call this phenomenon foxtailing or just part of the process?

Its like the buds are now swelling asymmetrical. Ive had longer clear foxtailing in the past but this is also on the sides, full inch or two from the top of the buds, more like tiny ”balls” that swell.

Just to be clear I dont see any signs of hermaphroditing going on just a way to describe it

To me, it looks like fairly normal bud swelling. Look good to me, but I'm not the most experienced guy. When I think 'foxtailing', this is more typically what comes to my mind, from my first DWC grow early this year:

Here's a Purple Bubba Kush that I just chopped a couple of weeks ago. This looks to me more like what you have going on, just kinda lumpy, asymmetrical bud development. No idea if it's genetic or environmental, but it didn't seem to have any negative impact on the quality.

Hempy - should be water/fed everytime. Its a DTW ( drain to waste ) like coco. It doesn’t need a flush or straight PH water ever.

When you “water” you also feed - with 10%to 20% runoff to clear salt buildup.

I do not see any foxtail issues here. The term refers to colas being full of leaf, many of them being single finger deformed at the tip leaves, looking like a foxtail. Some plants are more leafy than others. Stress and health can also bring on the leafy, airy colas.

Your buds look normal
