So...... 1 chiller 2 setups
I needed a chiller after all.
Here's what I did.
I moved the tent across the room and put it near my flower tents control res. Ran some tubing and did like a wort chiller type thing. I used the Y to get more pressure. The pump was having a difficult time pumping through 100ft of tubing. I may still split it into 4 tubes instead of 2 to see if i can get a little bit more flow.

I used clear tubing because that res hardly ever gets opened, maybe once a week and I open the opposite side so light wont be an issue. I have a bucket that I am going to coil it up in. I was tired of messing with it tonight so I just dropped it in there. With the bucket, the water from my flower system will come out of that black hose there and into the bucket. So the coolest water will be on the hose coil to cool the veg tent and then waterfall out of the bucket back into the flower control res.
Used black tubing where it would be exposed to light.

So far its held its temp solid. We will see in a few hours.

I'm certain it will work. You might need to get insulating sleeves though for the runs to and from the reservoirs. Very smart idea to be utilized if you're setups are close enough. Bummer here

Yeah it worked out pretty well for just a few bucks since I had half of it already. The black tubes are only around 10ft long. I tried to route them so they were out of the way.
I had thought about heat soak as well for the black tubing, being under the table will help a lot, but ill probably pick up some cheap pipe insulation for them.

I kind of half expected to have to do this from the start, but wanted to try it without doing this.
I actually have more room to get into the tent and more room left in the basement with it right next to my flower setup.

Its a can100 without the pre-filter sleeve and I got it for $40 local and it is a beast. Damn thing probably weighs 100lbs but tomorrow is the end of week 8 in flower and I cant smell shit unless I put my head in the tent.
Guy had a bunch of them and some of them fell over and busted a few rivets and were starting to split open, but not to the point that anything was coming out.
Used a ratchet strap to hold it back closed and put a bunch of self tapping sheet metal screws down the seam.

have a 10" hyper fan sucking out of the tent and blowing in to it.

Damn I'm jealous of your hyper fan. I've used rip offs that are still pretty damn quiet. But I bet a true hyper fan is soooooo quiet.

The amount of air it moves makes a decent bit of noise, but the fan itself is pretty much silent. Ive had it going full blast since flower. That jungle i accidentally made has kept humidity 10-15% higher inside the tent than it is outside of it even with 1000cfm being sucked out.
The power efficiency too man, it uses less than half an amp turned all the way up.
I got it because I got such a deal on the filter.

Oh, I also found out that those water pumps have more than twice the current draw that they claim they do. Which is probably why they get so hot.
I finally got my kill-a-watt meter in and been checking everything to figure out how to do the extra lights.

Ya like I said mine isn't being used anymore. Got a much better model now that's 800gph and I've noticed my chiller turns in maybe three times a day now lol.

So far its gone down a degree! so thats a good sign for sure.
That was a very good idea you have about the insulation, i hadnt thought of that yet.
Will be grabbing some and this setup should be able to keep both system the same temp.

I guess it is not around anymore and apparently was only 660gph!!! It's still plenty! But this 1200 looks identical to it.

Had to go out today so I stopped and grabbed some pipe insulation. It was under $5 for all of it, so if I only get like a degree out of it that's ok.

So far system is holding well at 3-4 degrees above the flower system without the insulation.

Also spotted a some red/purple trichs on the grape shit today. I wish it would hurry up already!!

I would consider running that with an inline pump too. You'd benefit from losing the heat from a submersible

Finally we get to the stuff people probably want to see!!

Plants seem to be doing pretty well, things have really taken off since I got my res temp down. It's now at 70F steady!!!
I took these 2 weeks after flip so they did have to re-veg. Most of them appear to be mostly through this and starting to put out some normal growth so I decided to trim up some of the lower growth and lay them down today.

8 or 9 of them have been topped at this point. last few need a few more days, they arent quite where I want them yet.

Screen will go in sometime tonight after dinner. Have straps that will connect to each corner pole.

Oh these are way out, i wont flip them for at least another month and theyre going into the big tent under the LEDs at flip.
I dont have a ton of vertical space in the veg tent so I imagine it will get pretty full by time I flip them.
I will give them a little bit at this flat level to establish the base structure I want and then ill start raising the screen a little bit to shape them. They will stay mostly below the screen in this tent. Its mostly just there so I dont have to tie everything down. Ill be able to use the squares and tuck them as they get longer to establish the base. Once i getthe number of branches I want and have them spaced out some, ill let those start growing up. Trying to get 10-12 colas per plant.
The goal is to have them shaped to how I want and mostly holding that shape when I move them over to the flower tent.
That way I can just put a big screen above them in the flower tent and let them grow up into that during stretch.

Right now, theyve only been out of the cloner torture for 2 weeks and theyve only had 1 week of good res temps.
It may not quite be a month left.. but still will let them go a while.

Cuts were taken on Nov 1st and took 2 weeks to start roots.
How old should I consider these plants at this point? lmao

Don't forget how useful supercropping can be. I've used it to bend a branch that's plenty long but just growing the completely wrong downward direction up towards the canopy and have it work perfectly with a little piece of wire or twist tie to hold it in place m

It's weird how similar our runs are. Mine had a hell of a time coming back out of flower too. Clones were taken only ten days into flower. No problem right? Wrong
