Yea they’re out of TP and paper towels here now. Also just other odd items here and there throughout the store. A couple other grocery stores are in fact empty shelved in several isles every time we go now. Meat prices have gone sky high where I live.

I can’t imagine being on a fixed income heading in to the next couple years. Been there in my youth and $10-20 was meaningful money
Why the 'next couple years'?

What percentage of the population is white compared to any other group? What percentage of white people contribute and actually pay income and property taxes? What percentage of black people do? There are 41 million black people and 236 million white people in the US; Ill let you do the math.

your response to his federal aid comment immediately jumped to race, so have at it.

one line that caught my attention too in your post when talking about those that have been pulled out of poverty with government assistance:

“The researchers did not draw a conclusion from their study as to why working class whites are disproportionately helped by government poverty reduction programs. One possibility is that white Americans are better positioned to know all the government benefits that are available to them, Shapiro said. Whites also benefit more from the Social Security system than minorities, both because they may have paid more into it and they are an older population, he said.”

I’d draw a conclusion the individual receiving the help is the vehicle to his or her own success. Is that a race thing? Are whites harder working and more capable? The charts and graphs sure make it look that way.

I think meat prices have been good here in Northern California. I want to say they're unchanged, but the truth is that I don't pay close enough attention to notice small differences. I can say that the kirkland boneless skinless chicken breasts were still $2.99/lb and it's been that price for a long time, probably even pre-Covid. I buy some of the frozen Indian food meals at Trader Joe's, lamb vindaloo, etc. Those prices haven't changed. If there's a boom coming, we're on the very front end of it.

I also can't imagine being on a fixed income, and not necessarily because of any upcoming inflation, but just the whole yo-yo effect of having some leaders that hate you and some leaders that want to help you. The endless back and forth where other people are using your livelihood as a political weapon, it has to be stressful.

I would point to the 'non-college educated white people' might be the closest statistic I could find to party affiliation for welfare recipients.

Also the trolling of the 'Democratic cities' trolling bullshit is obvious race baiting, even if you want to pretend like it is not. That is just you being disingenuous.

Also this is just the social safety net for poorer folks, it doesn't even touch the corporate welfare and farm subsidies which is virtually all going to white people.

You might want to pretend like what I am pointing out, that white people are able to take advantage of the socialism in our nation while suppressing minority populations for generations is not as big of a deal when pulling out a bullshit troll statistic like 'how many white people pay property taxes vs black people' when those black people were not able to take advantage of the federal grants to buy up all those suburban homes, but I call bullshit.

People acting like minorities (even when they dog whistle with 'Democrats' or 'Democrat cities') are the ones that are the real problem with welfare is bullshit. And if you can't see that I don't know what to tell you man, except maybe you should take a step back and realize you might have been looking through a white washed view of the world.

So if you are over being triggered about the racial reality of welfare being mostly used by those 237 million white people in America who have always been the 'race' that gets almost everything beneficial from our government (yes even affirmative action), I was curious why you are concerned about 'the next couple years' with inflation if you are living on a fixed income? Mainly because I was curious if you are saying that the inflation is not due to the Republican led recession that happened last year and should stabilize as our economy gets back on track, or are you pretending like it is something else, if so I was curious what it is that you think it is going to be from.

I think there will be difficulties for the next couple of years for those on a budget that was already stretched thin. You would be shocked how many Americans have zero dollars to their name (a lot of this is personal choice/people living way beyond their means) and are behind on rent or their mortgage. I say the next couple years because it’s only started to hurt for those people. Cheap food and cheap electricity are priority number one, and neither will remain a reality in the near future

I have a question that I'd like you to answer from a statistics perspective...

Family A has been around for a couple of hundred years, and each generation has been able to build wealth and education the entire time.

Family B has been around for a couple of hundred years, but has been perceived by society as second class citizens and limited to poor jobs and poor education all the way up until the 1950's at the absolute minimum, because societies obviously don't just switch off perceptions overnight, but realistically those limitations extend decades longer, especially depending on the regions where they live.

Statistically speaking, what are the odds that Family B has caught up to Family A in terms of building wealth and education and are in a position to help their kids do the same? And I'd like to mention that there is a massive difference between what's possible and what's probable. It's possible for your kids to become astronauts, but it's highly improbable. I say this all preemptively, because I've had this conversation a thousand times in my life.

You read it like I said that. I asked an OBVIOUS sarcastic question in response to the charts and graphs posted by @hanimmal. As in charts and graphs can be made to say anything
