First off i am a new time grower just trying to experiment be4 i use my good beans.

Alright i got a seedling that has sprouted and it is starting to stretch because of the light im using i am in the process as we speak of making a home made reflector for a CFL i am going to start using.

I am wanting to use mg soil that i have outside. I was wondering if i freeze the soil, then thaw it out if that would kill any little bugs there might b in the soil??

Thanks!

Really though? i was gonna say microwave it, just joking though. Does the oven work though for real?

Alright thanks i'll do that.

I got a follow up question also. I got this ph neutralizer from my old fish tank. (7.0 neutralizer) Would this work for my water for my plant?!

Thanks again.

Freezing does nothing to kill bugs, seeds, or insect eggs. If it did then all life would die every winter and by spring everywhere would be a desolate lifeless place.

If you truly want to sterilize the soil you are going to have to flame broil it. DO NOT USE YOUR OVEN. Sterilizing soil SMELLS so bad it would make a maggot gag. Use a fire pit or something and do it OUTSIDE!
