Are there any strains that don't smell like skunk, gas, or weed in general when it is growing? I just picked up some of the best smelling bud I've ever toked the other day. It smelled exactly like strawberries. I'm really considering not using a carbon filter if the aroma of the strain smells more like fruits or even pine.

Some strains I had in mind are:

Strawberry Kush (Strawberry Cough X OG KUSH)
Blueberry
Bubblegum

What are some strains that smell like fruit? Can I get away with growing Strawberry Kush without a carbon filter?

Purple urkel


Cherry pie
Blue dream
Fruity pebbles
Just to name a few other great smelling strains. Cherry pie and blue dream has a more gassy undertone compared to gdp/urkel imo but more fruity then shit like skunk/cheese/haze ect.

These two (gdp & urkel) have a strong grape taste and smell and anything (professionally) crossed with gdp/urkel usually taste fruity along grapes and berries.

I'm currently growing strawberry banana by reserva privada about 25 days flower and it literally stinks. One pheno smells like pink lemonade no joke. Wish I took some cuttings of it..

I have a tangie that I think smells like an orange starburst. My girl and Buddy says smells like grapefruit. I have a purple train wreck that smells like fruit but not citrus like more berrieish. I also grew strawberry diesel before and was told it smelly like fruity pebbles the cereal. But I hated the bud to leaf ratio. Was a bitch to trim. I'm loving this tangie smell thoe

Why don't you ask your dealer what that strain is and grow that?

Thanks guys, but does anyone know what strawberry Kush smells like. I know it's redundant to ask but I need to be absolutely sure for security reasons. (In other words, if I smelled like strawberry Kush in public would people THINK I smell like weed). If I can save on carbon filtration I can totally put it towards the lights instead. That's why I'm making such a big fuss about it.

From first hand experience strawberry kush smells, taste and looks like strawberrys. But you'll smell like herb reguardless if u brush up against or anything. It's low odor but it still smells like dank

A clone only strain i grew called Nuclear Fruit smelled like Fruit Loops, cheese and fuel. Was really good smoke.

Twizzler by G.A.S. seeds. It's a complex hybrid involving Cherry Pie (Grandaddy Purple X Durban F1) X Tangie X Kosher Kush.

I like the flavor of all the parent-genetics, so I figured I couldn't go wrong.....I was right. One of my two phenotypes turned out to lean towards the earthy/mossy flavor of Kosher Kush with a hint of tangerine. The other pheno was a dead-on, candied-tangerine smell with a flavor that matched -except with an overtone of black licorice and fresh mint.

It will absolutely smell like weed...without a doubt.

And you shouldn't grow until you have all the proper equipment together. Get the best stuff you can afford. Do not draw attention to yourself in any way if you grow -meaning smell (for one thing). Do not rely on the belief that Strawberry Kush weed will fool people into thinking you don't smell like weed.

From my first hand experience, and I only know one guy who grows a strawberry Kush it taste and smell is not like strawberries and it sure as hell doesn't look like one but it is super dank and super strong smelling and has a quirky taste that's excellent. Would be a stretch to call it strawberry but maybe berryish. At the same time 2 seed banks might have a strain called strawberry Kush that have totally different characteristics so who knows you might get one that grows red with little fucking aggregate seeds in it
