So ya wtf, anyways my ballast just fucking fell off the shelf and the fucking thing is like bent as fuck, definitely will need repair-regardless anyone have a recommendation of buying ballasts online? The Hydro stores are so expensive!


Oh and I had a Harvest Pro Elite 1000w ballast, its fucked tho

does it still work?

if its bent and still works good chance you just bent the aluminum case and the internal components are fine, may look like crap but if it works its fine

i dont know if it works, tbh seems sketch to plug it in, literally it looks like outter screws were weak, its bent like a rhombus shape lol

Go ahead and plug it in, if it works you should be fine... the worst that could "likely" happen would be you blow a breaker. If you do scrap it... I suggest you keep the capacitor and the ignitor as spare parts.,

There ya go... Hell, I have the ballasts outta my service truck, that we usually replace high bay lights with in warehouses and shit, and they r exposed as fuck, but they're good and mounted and grounded, and in a place only a racoon could get to to get shocked... So, I dont even have those store-bought kind and I never haveta do much besides the occaisional capacitor, or ignitor changeout, or a lamp... They're SO much cheaper if u just go to a lighting supply place, NOT associated with a Hydro store, and get the core and coil kits... So r lamps, too...

So update, I took it apart and it looked fucked up-some things completely jarred loose-this thing tumbled 6+ FEET! I think it is wise just to suck it up and buy a new one? Hmmmmmm 160 is not bad
