start laughing out loud while he starts talking, he stops talking but I continue laughing

find out later his brother died like 2 hours earlier and thats probably what he was telling me. I was laughing while/after he told me his brother died.

I feel ya bro. I was telling this joke about a harelip to a group of friends one time. Guess what, well I'll tell ya what. No sooner than I get to the punchline, a harelip women sits down, no more than three feet away. So obviously, I never got to finish my joke.
