just to add, one becomes somewhat familiarised to the smell of smoking or growing (forget the fancy terminology) . What u can smell isn't necessarily what your housemates or neighbours can smell. I don't want to unduly concern you and u prob wont need a filter for several weeks, but something to look into later, there's even a homemade scrubber thread here somewhere, good luck

ive never used a carbon filter with any of my grow rooms never had a problem with smell un less im growing haze and then all i do is have a auto freshener with an odour nationalizer in i have a 10x10 room with 2 flowering tents and 4 auto fresheners and there set for ever 4 mins only cost me £5 for the unit and then 50 bottles of the spray from the market is only £4 each bottle last 600 sprays

I've tried them, I had people spray them with me outside, and I walk in the door and I can still smell the smell of growing... Doesn't smell like straight up weed during veg, but I can still smell plants growing it just puts off an odor lol. During flowering I can smell them outside a bit so I think carbon filter is like lights... A requirement..
