Thanks for the Sub LJ.

Currently flushing the roots and will add bloom nutes this evening. Last night I replaced the 6500k CFLs in my snap reflectors with 2700k CFLs and have positioned them on the back-side of each plant to supplement the lights. P.E. and Fruit are really stinky, much stinkier than any of my fully budding plants from my previous grow. I'll try to post some day 27 pictures tonight when my lights go off.

Day 29

Got lazy yesterday after a hectic day, but here's where we are as of today:

All three plants are really coming into their own. Fruit is so bushy, I just want to gobble her up every time I look at her. All three plants seem to have taken to Bloom Nutes with no problems and in fact appear to be enjoying them. I didn't want to wait until I turn the lights off to take pictures, because I will want to be asleep by then, so excuse the picture quality. I had to pull the plants out of the closet to take the pictures, but the HPS light seeps through the closet door cracks and affects the picture quality.

Fruit:

PPM 469, PH 6.1
21"

Pineapple Express:

+rep for this lad again. Great looking plants. My G13 OG13 photo is in dirt in 12/12 from seed (a test) and is one of the 2 biggest plants in it!

great post +1, im also growing the g13 PE auto, im only on day 10 though and in soil,

Hey Frank....thanks for following along. Yea, I love the G-13 breeder pack. Not sure why the one seed didn't pop for me. We will see what happens with the other 3 in January. I try to order my seeds in order to take advantage of any specials to maximize the number of freebies just for this reason. If one doesn't germ, I simply shrug my shoulders and keep it movin'. That was the first one that didn't germ for me though.

My plants are still growing. Yesterday, I measured both BB and PE at around 25". Today they are both a little over 27". Fruit went from 21" to 24".

I'll snap a few more pics in the next day or two.

All of my PPM levels went up tonight and my plants each drank about 1/3 of gallon. This tells me that my plants drank more than ate today, so I topped off with just PH adjusted water, and brought the PPM levels down.

A quick note about what I post as the PPM. I check the PPM of the water before adding Nutes. I am not using RO water but am using PH adjusted Tap water and my tap water has varying PPM levels. After I add the nutes, I check the PPM levels again and subtract from that number the pre-nute PPM levels. All of the PPM levels I have talked about on the thread factor in this adjustment. I do this so I can see and measure the amount of nutrients my plants are taking. I have no idea if this is correct or not, it's just what I have done and it works for me.

So for example, On my Blueberry plant, when I checked the PPM, the meter read 743. My water was 190 before nutes, so I would say that my PPM was 553. After I adjusted it down, the meter read 675, which I would read as 485 PPM. Again, I have no idea if this is correct. I can construct arguments in my mind for both ways but ultimately come down on the side that says the whole point of checking PPM is to gauge nutrient/food levels that the plant is taking in.

No pics tonight, but I continue to be amazed at the rate of growth on these babies. Bluebeerry and Pineapple Express are each 30" tall and Fruit is 25" tall.

All the leaves and bud sites look very healthy and the roots continue to grow at explosive rates.

The end of November is shaping up to be pretty good for me, I think.

Actually it sounds like an experienced grower both reading his plants and correlating their health with the PPM reading for future use as well. I'm impressed and that's not easy. You already got the +rep and respect. I also am putting your experience to work here.

You are too kind Hotrod.

But that's point of it all right? To learn and share the experience and if it helps others with their grows then it is completely worth it as a side benefit. I don't do this to make money, I do it because I love good green and I don't want to have to rely on anyone but myself to obtain it.

I don't think there is one way to go about doing things in this hobby of ours and it's much better in my view, to take the advice of someone who shows their work and method than it is of someone who tells you to do this or that while not showing you how they have employed that method successfully. In my last grow (first grow) I couldn't figure out why my plants appeared healthy, but I was getting readings of 12-1300 when most in the Bubbleponics forum were saying they go about 900 max. After testing the water before nutes I had that lightbulb moment and realized why my healthy plants were showing such high PPM numbers.

Anyway, I appreciate the compliment and hope that you are successful in putting my experience to work for you.

I've been meaning to update the thread. I went out of town last weekend and so I was unable to tend to my girls on Saturday and Sunday nights. Each of them had sucked down about a 2 gallons of water/nutrients. I filled them back up at roughly 50% Nutrient strength. The picture quality isn't great and I don't have any root shots, but you can see how the plants have grown so much. I thought Blueberry was going to win the race to the finish, but now I would put my money on Pineapple Express. See below.

Blueberry:
508 PPM, 5.8 PH
40.5"
Day 36 087.jpg Day 36 088.jpg

Fruit:
502 PPM, 5.9 PH
36"
Day 36 089.jpg Day 36 090.jpg
Pineapple Express:
498 PPM, 6.1 PH
41.5"

Your PE will start budding pretty quickly. PE is the furthest along for me right now. Fruit has the most ridiculous root system of my 3 strains.

I have had to raise my lights as high as they will go, because my plants have grown so big. The lesson here for me is that I need to do future auto grows with Indica dominant hybrids as opposed to sativa dominant.

Currently the heights of each plant are:

Blueberry - 52"
Fruit - 47"
Pineapple Express - 51"

These are much taller plants than I ever expected. I did not use any training techniques, so I will LST my next round of Blueberry.

Leaves and bud sites appear to be healthy, root systems are all doing well. I will post some pictures in the next few days.
