Hello again!

Its been a minute since my last log, since i have flowered blueberry grapefruit and started my TSS. I have learned quite a bit about my water since i have switched to Ebb & Flow and thus far excited with the results.

The water here is pretty hard so i check my ph daily and for the first few days the ph will increase slowly but after day 4 it usually doesnt budge. I am still using Fox Farm 3pt and will give them some bush master for the first time on monday.

This cab will never be flowered in again... it is strictly a veg cab from this point forward. Topping and fimming will begin next sunday and bushed out for the coming 4x4 ebb & flow 600w SoG grow. I will cut clones in a week to find the sex and toss the males.

Usually vegging in soil is preferred by most but i wanted some play time to learn my soon to be growing techniques. Soil also wasnt cutting it, just a big mess when it was time to clean the cab out. the yields thus far have been decent but like fluffy outdoor and im looking to achieve nice and tight colas.

So on to whats been going on lately, 4/4/10 I germinated 5 G13 Labs Thai Super Skunk and 1 blueberry grapefruit that i got from the last harvest. 1 TSS didnt make it but the rest did, the BG is a week behind the TSS however looks healthy none the less.

4/25/10 ph 5.8 ppm? temp 82f humidity low23%-high30%
Changing the res in a bit after it floods again, noticing what looks like mold growing on the rockwool of all the plants. Anyone got any ideas on how to fix?

I was going by a friends flood schedule every 2.5hrs and I really think that is too much. the rockwool starter cubes are really starting to mold on me so in a couple days im going to try peeling it away and hope i dont take too many root casualties.

advice needed on sterilizing hydroton with the plant unharmed.

I took about 90% of the rockwool out with great success and flushed the pots with 5% bleach water to kill any left over mold. I also cut the watering back to 5 times daily and now all 5 are showing signs of heat stress & salt build up

1 BG
Leaf fringe standing up = leaf is trying to dissipate as much moisture as possible, but it is unable to. This could be caused by toxic salt build up, lack of water, or heat stress

4 TSS
Leaf fringes curled & big ridges between veins = heat stress coupled with salt build up

Hope next time there is better news...

The plants are doing great since this past sunday. I started picking up 5 gallon purified drinking water jugs instead of using the water from my tap. I poured the water into the res and mixed my ferts, perfect 5.8 ph!! today, 3 days later, the ph is 5.9 and the plants look fantastic.

I topped all the plants on sunday as well but the cuttings aren't doing so well as clones. after i trimmed the top they were dipped in olivias cloning gel and stuck in rockwool plugs, since then they have just been droopy but havent lost much color if any.

Until next time... Keep Smokin :bigjoint:

I have been very busy for the last 5-6 months, enough so that i put the indoor on hiatus. There was actually only 1 female out of this bunch so what i did was veg for a few more weeks then flowered in the cab for 2 weeks before transplanting into soil outside. Anyone who sais transplanting from hydro to soil is impossible is wrong but they do take a hard shock. I cut about a dozen clones before she was transplanted which were all given away a month later healthy and huge. The original mother has yet to flower... she is trying hard but once her roots hit soil she went back in veg for 2 months... Its October now and by the end of this month we will see snow, its pretty safe to say she will never finish flowering before the cold takes her.

On to the awesome news!
Since the indoor was shut down it gave me some time to decide what i wanted to upgrade to and not worry about how quickly this gets done. I decided to keep the 400 and put it in a 3x3 growlab tent with a 3x3 tray, 40gal res, tri-meter 204, & a heater. today I buttoned the rest up and am ready to grow again! My buddy that i gave the G13 TSS to has supplied me with 7 clones which were just put in net cups. He will be getting me about 20 more clones of BBxAK shortly to fill the rest of the tray. As soon as i have some time i will start a new journal and get some pictures up.

Cool, I'm ready to see someone else's experience with this monster takes-forever-to-finish plant...
