So I'm looking into getting some ganja dwarf seeds and just wanted some input/experiences with the strain.

Thanks in advance

Well, if you are still interested, I would recommend going with Lowryder #2 over Ganja Dwarf. They are both auto-flowering, but the Lowryder #2 has better genetics and actually performs as says. Ganja Dwarf has taken longer to flower and in some cases did not auto-flower and had to be moved under 12/12 lighting....

Does a good light cycle promote better growth and yield though? or it doesn't matteR?

Anyone have ever planted these lowryder drawf/auto flowering plants.. I" think i've decided on my first major seed.

I dunno.. but I have Lowryder #2 (dr chronic) under 24/0 with beautiful flowering.. but I had to move the Ganja Dwarf (ams seeds) to 12/12 before I could get it to flower...

But I imagine the continuous light versus 12/12 would yield better results! I got about 50/50 males/females for both strains, but I would still recommend lowryder over ganja dwarf.

Here are a few pics.. The first one is the Lowryder #2 under 24/0 (blue) light with 5 in white pots.. then 2 closeups of the white hairs.

Also.. the LR#2 were planted 3/31/08 and not too sure about the GD :) but they were put to flower on 4/9/08 though they are a few weeks older than LR#2. I think the GD have 2 weeks left, maybe 3 max. Supposedly they finish in 2 months, so the LR#2 should finish around 5/31/08.

The orange tinted pics are the GD in the flower room to give you an idea of what it looks like. These are grown under 400w HPS/MH with CO2 generator.

^ nice...that's what i'm goign with. LR #2. Sounds like the most durable. thanks for the pics. how big is it right now?, pictures can tell another story.

you ordered 10 LR#2 and got half Females? and the other half males?
it's only been 12 days.. NICE!

Here's a few more pics...

The LR#2 vary in height from 11" to 21", but my light is a good 3 feet above my plants (too lazy to move it around, plus there are tall mothers in that room) so for those of you who love CFL's you should be able to keep these short.

So, not to put AMS down with their ganja dwarf strain, but I think Joint Doctor's strains have a more established breeding line with superior genetics. You should check out his newest creation Diesel Ryder, a cross between new york city diesel and lowryder #2

Oh and its been more than 12 days, they were planted on 3/31 so its just been over a month... about 5 weeks going on 6.. or 42 days to be exact ;) and are supposed to finish in 9 weeks from seed or 6 weeks from flowering.. at this rate I am expecting 3 more weeks.

Also, I found my grow log and the ganja dwarfs were planted on 3/5/08 and put to flower on 4/9/08 because they hadn't started autoflowering yet, which is why they are so much bigger compared to the lowryder. LR#2 started to flower in the third week and by the 4th week sexing was complete.

i ordered the ganja dwarf from AMS and either they sent me seeds that aren't what i ordered, or the autoflowering trait was missed in the batch that i got, because i'm coming up on 8 weeks and they're just now starting to flower. I had to change to 12/12 to induce flowering also, which indicates to me even more that one of those things happened. It was a waste of money in my opinion. i have 10 thai seedlings from seed that a friend gave me that he's been growing since the 70s. His grow like christmas trees in eastern north carolina. always taller than me by at least a half.

i apologise for that, but i felt like telling about the seeds i purchased which got me excited about the seeds i just planted.

repvip, i found the same to be true with the ganja dwarf. i've let them veg for 8 weeks now and they're quite large. They've just started flowering, i changed the lights to 12/12 last week and today i saw clear signs of lots of bud sites. They're about 2 feet tall and about 1.5 feet wide after i topped them. I think it should produce a good yield, but until now i felt like i had wasted my money. After looking at your pics, though i feel not so bad.

sorry about two posts, i thought the first one didn't take and i didn't feel like typing it up again, i guess i was wrong though.

they're 21+ inches b/c you kept the lights hovering 3 feet above? I got these lights ONE inch from 2 inch plants. Doing this with the LR2 would induce that small 1 foot plant that Joint Dr. decribes?

Hows the bud on the lr2? Probbaly my last concern is how good the bud actually is.

Nik Dynosaur: Nice! I'm glad to hear you had the same issues with ganja dwarf (in a weird sort of way).. your plants sound nice and big though, I would expect a nice yield! I've been tasting nugs here and there and, so far, at 3 weeks early, they are good. Not sure if I've ever had thai--sounds grrrreat!

Freedom Fighter: Yes. My plants are taller and stretched because the light was so far above.. I would expect you could manage 1ft or less by keeping the lights nice and close. I have no idea what the LR#2 buds are like--but certainly someone else here must? This was just an experiment for me to see if they actually flowered under continuous light. They do :blsmoke: hehe. Only if you could clone them! Sigh.

Ganja Dwarf is a really good, nearly plant and forget, outdoor auto. The natural light cycle seems to suit this plant best. It's not, IMO, the best weed in the world, but it's very, very good. Highly recommended for the lazy outdoor grower. Good soil, water, be a lazy ass, in 8 weeks you've got some awesome bud.
