Ganja Queen's Stealth Micro Grow

I hope you manage a clone or two off the Frankenplant, really looking good, good nood structure, certainly loves the medium.......chopsticks-ductape-oil hits make it all better.

Edit: over in the LED forums, bbspills is growing with LED bulbs too and he had some drooping leafs. Petflora suggested maybe switching off some of the 6500k cfl's to see if the blue wasn't affecting drooping. I know it's a long shot, but the maybe that is all that ails the other two? Still, I think they could drink less and be fine, all else seems to be well.

Good growing.

Would totally take a clone if I had room to, but for stealth reasons, I don't have anywhere else to keep a clone at the moment.

I never heard of 6500ks causing leaves to droop and have never had a problem with droop before in CFL grows... I think it's the drainage, especially since they have exploded in growth once making the medium aerated. They have only been watered once a week for three weeks so I don't think it's a matter of drinking less either, the roots just needed to be able to breathe rather than saturated with water. The two other plants are also my own cross so not exactly stable genetics. I'm sure they will be fine as they get better everyday.

Looking good man. They are getting to be a really nice dark green. It's only up from here. What soil is it that you are using again?

:weed:

The plants have been improving considerably on the daily so finally took the time out to go ahead and LST them as they were growing into the bulbs and even a little past on some leaves.

I only had twine on hand so I made loose nooses to pull them down and also made sure to use a counter tie. I don't mind handling my plants a lot so will be adjusting the LST often and watching for any signs of rust on the twine. I think I shouldn't have any problems though.

Even though my light setup requires more manipulation than a fixed light source, I really like it because I can get super close on the plants. It kind of looks like the leaves are touching in the pic but I made sure they are all at least an inch away from the bulbs.

Switched to 14 hours of light, 10 hours of dark. Will move to 12/12 fully in a few days. Also will be adding more lights, ordered a few flexible socket extenders from ebay.

Oh, and my dresser passed its stealth test today....had someone in my room and they had no clue at all that there were plants in the cab. They even complimented me and praised the job I did on restoring the dresser

I pinched an idea from a fellow RIUpper. Instead of the twine you're using, cut open an old ethernet cable (I know you're a girl ;) but every house has got a spare network cable lurking somewhere) and inside there you'll find about 8-10 really slim coated cables... and they work A TREAT for lst. No rusting to worry about, they're easy to work around the plants, and to see... Plus come harvest they'll pull away from everything really easily.

I use hemp line which works great and is cheap, I also use the twist ties from the grocery store in the produce section. Just grab a bunch next time ;)

Ganja--
Everything is looking great. The only recommendation I have is to cover the outside of those pots with something so no light gets through. If you hold an empty container up to the light you will see that its not lightproof. Just a tip, I dont know if it is anything to worry about though.

Happy growing!

Just because I'm a girl doesn't mean I don't have a geeky side ;). I'm actually using all of my Cat6 cables to keep my devices wired to the net. I like to get all the bandwidth possible while gaming. The twine, on the other hand, was sitting unused in a drawer full of random tools so it was easily chosen as my go to lol. If it rusts I'll just buy pipe cleaners, which are super easy to use to manipulate plants.

Yea, I already know about the pots. I just haven't felt like doing it lately lol. I probably won't do it at all since this is a micro grow and the plants will have such a short life cycle. I'll have to scrap at least one of the Ramrellas soon when they show sex so if the inside is free of algae then I won't worry about it at all.

Took a quick pics of the girls today. Probably am going to water them with light organic nutes tomorrow and switch to 12/12 (they're 14/10 at the moment). Can't believe they grew this well with two 9.5w Crees and one 23w cfl. Excited to see how they respond with a few more Crees in there :D
