It has Garlic tones in taste at times. Even when rubbing the branches. It's not a standard smell as it changes its smell as it grows. It's nearly 100 degrees and under a 1000 watt bulb in a non air conditioning environment and no stress at all to these heat proof F2 Garlic bud. A LOT of those old flavors actually came from Skunk #1
Basically, the cross between two landraces brought all those recessive genetics out to be expressed in the successive generations.
That's why there was an explosion of "strains" in the 80s and 90s.
They weren't bred lines, just unique expressions, which is why they disappeared.

Its important to know original Garlic bud was pure Afgani with a touch of sativa. It was 2 different tribes genetics associated with original Garlic bud's creation. You have to know the source of who's genetics were involved to get the original Seed bank GB strain. F2 Clone shown in picture20210728_144012.jpg

Ilikesnacks I'm sure that guy is right since he's talking about a different strain. The strain I'm talking about isn't its garlicky and onion like in full essence. Donny Burger! Look it up

Pretty sure the garlic bud was found in old afghani bud seeds it isnt a hybrid shiva shanti etc are hybrids of it im sure nevil talks about it on some other forums in old posts

Garlic Bud Expert, please submit a sample for genetic analysis. There are reasons to assume that this is the other half of the OG Kush combination.

OG Kush = unnamed Emerald Triangle strain x Nevil's '88 Hindu Kush (according to @origins_tk_ogk_2.0)

Nevil's words in 2010: "Kush 4, I crossed with NL2 (which had the same Kush smell) and this Kush Hybrid is the foundation of todays Kush lines." and "Garlic bud has also made it's presence felt and is part of todays super yielders."

The morphology in these beauties is straight up an odd cut of OGK.

Do these tribes you mention have any connection to Jim Ortega/Maple Leaf Wilson?

I'm currently seeking out Maple Leaf indica seeds , Nevil used ML exclusively in cross breeding and so did his partner who worked with Nevil. His partner is still alive.

I've have a breeding formula that I'm going to start on soon.
