I gotta say I like diesel a LOT more than petrol (gas). It would be cheaper and more effective to just huff a can of gasoline if gassy weed is your thing. There are many strains that have a light amount of gas on the finish. Those are ok.

Yea.... Having a strain one time from an unknown source doesnt really tell you much about it though. Could have been anything labeled as sour diesel or from seed who knows what phenotype you got. Also, was it grown in dirt or hydro? What kind of light? Was it harvested at the correct time? All that stuff has major impact on how gassy a strain will actually be.

If it was real Sour Diesel, it should be noticeably tart with bright citrus and medium sweet diesel notes. The buzz should be an intense head buzz with a LOT of body energy. I blaze SD for home projects and chores. Absolute dynamo. Powerhouse. Wake up high the next day.

for me its a self made hybrid, crossed a sour diesel with alaskan purple, diesel was mother. Was gassy as hell, was ok bud. Not good enough to support a mother long term tho.

The decades of prohibition have really taken a toll on strain development. So much effort and time wasted creating strains with little to no smell. Like wedding cake.... What the fuck is up with that shit? It has less flavor than white claw. Yeah its potent but its just missing everything when it comes to terps.
