Greetings all.

I have not see too many full grows if at all of the Grand Daddy Purp Genetics GDP and Purple Dream.

So I thought I would do a full grow on these two. I know alot of people are curious of the 'Dankness" of these Seeds. Plus all the Drama with Ken and DVG that has been going on.

So I will be doing a run from Seed. Picked up a pack of each ( Purple Dream was the last pack).

Setup is as follows;
Lighting:
9 COB run at 1.050ma at 40w a SQF for a 360 Wall draw. Flower
( I run full power in Veg and flower)
4 COB run at 700ma at 25w a SQF at 100w Wall Draw mom tent

Mom Tent: 2 x 2
DWC/ Fogoponic 15 site
Veg/Flower Tent: 3 x 3
DWC/ Fogponic 36 site ( I run SOG alot)

I currently run a custom DWC/ Fogponic system which has given me some amazing results.

TEST CONDITIONS:
Will veg the plants out until sexed and able to take clones.
18 of each for a total of 36 clones. Once rooted placed into system and switched to Flower.
No veg time.

So follow me on my journey from Seed to Smoke Report,
I will document Weekly as I would like to see if there is anything worth growing or its just hype.

Anyways, seeds should be in next week and we can get things started on this SOG grow.

Will drop a Grow Journal once seeds are in. Just wanted to let the community know what I'm doing.
Hope this helps some people as I sure am curious on these genetix. Hopefully a few fire pheno of each strain.

Really? Well then, sound like a strain for me if I got a good pheno.
I dont grow for commercial, just myself. HQ smoke is number 1.

Give them best conditions, best rt/rh, good soil, good water/feeding schedules, good ventilation, and good light source and she will reward u with one of your best smokes ever. I guarantee it!! GL

UPDATE
------------
Got the beans today.
Will start a journal if anyone wants to follow along.
Have not seen a full Journal on these beans.
I also plan to make a bunch of FEM seeds from these for future if I ever loose a good pheno.
Hope to find some keepers.

Hi there Trippyness, I've done the ken estes GDP for a few years.
Chopped the last indoor ones 2 weeks ago - sorry no pics though and had a couple outdoors I chopped yesterday.
Indoors it was a good producer with nice tight baseball bat colas.
Not much smell to it but a powerful smoke.
I read in another post that this version is close to the original cut but who knows for sure?
Very easy to trim,
Here's one of outdoor ones I chopped yesterday.
The end of line.
Next run I'm doing a Paradise Seeds Sensi Star cut that's been about for 8 years or so.

I hope these pics give you an indication of what to expect.
I ended up with a bit of mold on the outdoor ones. ..... grrrrr ...but it was just an experiment to confirm for myself that vegging outdoors is OK at my latitude but flowering is not worth it.
Indoors i got at touch of mold as well.
I grew them in 3 gallon builders buckets and got about 4.5 O's per bucket.

I done a GDP under cobs, that and a barneys farm Critical Kush.
They turned out great.
Buds were tight.
Chopped them at 56 days.

Nice, when did your leaves turn purple in that pheno may I ask?
Did you get a good Female to Male ratio in the seeds?

I think it was the cool outdoor temps that brought out nice colours.
Under hps maybe not quite as dark and if I recall under the cobs hardly any purplish at all.
All run at different temps of course.
Friends are always purchasing seeds that lie in their cupboards, forgotten about so I get lots of freebies and if a good one pops it it gets shared.
Four GDP seeds , got 4 females , bit slow to take off compared to other plants I've grown.
I kept the fastest growing one.
