I'm using this line as we speak and have nothing but good things to say about it. I'm hand watering in coco/perlite but it's great for me. These plants are two months old and have had very little issues with the GH.image.jpg

using the trio currently in my grow and i love it. Its cheap and does everything i need. Only problem i have seems to be solved by a cal mag solution. it misses a cal mag nute system apparently. Other than that its great.

I think the "trio" you're talking about is just the normal "Flora series" and I think he's talking about the GH "FloraNova" line of nutrients.

I wouldn't go with the floranova in dwc, or any other recirculating setup if it were me. The floranova leaves brown shit all over. On filters, airstones, etc. I've used it a few times in a top fed recirc, and flood and drain, but don't recommend it.
Go with the maxi series, it works great! Nice and clean;-)

What's the "maxi series"? Can I Google that? Also I was told about floraduo? Any thoughts?

MaxiGro and MaxiBloom both also by General Hydroponics. They come dry and you mix them up with water.

Maxi is a complete 1part grow/bloom formula, just like floranova is, but it is a powder. Because it is a powder, it's the cheapest(price wise) of GH's nutrient formulas. Most likely cheaper because of less shipping costs.

The floraduo is just OK, IMO. I tried it for a while when it first came out. It needed some extra Ca when using that duo though, and sure as shit, GH recommended using their calimagic just a short time after releasing that nutrient formula. It's still(i think)the only one of their nutrient formulas that they recommend needing to use calimagic with. If I was even thinking of using the duo again, I would just pick up and use the floraseries again. Same price. Same amounts used. But the floraseries is more customizable.

Just an fyi for ya, when shopping:
Using 5ml/gal of their one-parts, maxi or floranova, is roughly the same potency as using a total of 15ml/gal of the floraduo or the floraseries. Use that to help you choose what makes the most sense for you.

below is a link to "KISS my Hempy"....on the first page is a post concerning the mixing of Maxi-Gro/Bloom that you may find helpful
https://www.rollitup.org/t/kiss-my-hempy.856645/

you will need a pH tester or drops and pH+..... and you may also require CAL-MAG (depending on your water source)
