a: why is it good that cows eat gmo crops? This is a HUGE rationalization that would require perhaps 60 pages of propoganda. Please spare me your few-sentence synopsis.

b: ROUNDUP READ CORN = KILLS BEES, KILLS PLANTS THAT ARENT CREATED BY MONSANTO - AAre you a fucking idiot or have you no idea that the cattle industry is a prime factor in deforestation?! Also they are the prime eaters of GMO ( ROUNDUP READY) SOYBEAN AND CORN. Since when is dumping herbicides ( PLANET KILLING CHEMICALS) over thousands of acres of land good for the earth? c: a companies/corporations legal policy has ZERO effect on the reflection of safety for the human species of the the planet.
Can you show me any legislation that says corporations must uphold the well being of biological species ( humans are one!) or mother earth? THATS WHY THE EPA WAS CREATED

I am just asking questions which should occur to anyone. I do not understand your position and I am asking you to explain it. So far you have failed. I am willing to believe GMO crops are bad, but so far have been presented with zero cons of the technology, only the practice. Instead of attempting to inform me, you insult me. When is that ever progressive? How much do you really care about this issue if you are willing to piss away a chance to explain yourself? Rather than offer any real information, you have simply regurgitated your prejudices. This is what we expect to see when a position is based on a flawed ideology rather than any sort of solid reality. The inability to answer even the simplest questions. The inability to engage in debate without being deceptive or abusive.

You have certainly made an excellent case that Monsanto is probably an evil corporation that shouldn't exist, but you have done nothing to justify your opposition to GMO technology. If we had a benevolent company that had only the best of intentions with GMO, didn't sue anyone, and wanted only to feed the world, would you still be against GMO? (hypothetical fantasy I know, but hypothetical questions are how we define principals) It's one thing to be anti-government or anti-corporation, but don't try to pass it off as science or compassion. It amounts to baseless alarmism designed to gain sympathy and support for your view.

I think one of the most legitimate gripes with GMO crops is the use of the "terminator™" gene complex to prevent viable seed formation. If that complex escapes into non-GM crops of the same species, it provides a seriously unfair advantage to smallholders using more traditional seedstock. but that has to do with the politics of farming and does not present (imo) a clear and present danger either to the ecology or to what we eat. cn

Do you expect others to agree with you without understanding your position? Do you suppose you are entitled to provide information without being questioned about it? I asked you a simple question, why is it bad for cows to eat GMO crops, and your response was, why is it good? That does nothing to answer my question. So you are some sort of expert on the subject? That seems odd since you seem unable to articulate even one valid point. Interesting also that you are too good to offer useful information to others, but can still take the time to insult and belittle. What I expect is for you to conform to the same standards of reasoning and evidence that we use to judge any other claim. At the very least, I expect you to be able to clearly list the cons involved in genetically modifying a crop. You seem to be unable to demonstrate anything but arrogance. It seems that your only criteria for someone not being ignorant is they agree with you.

point 2: after the EU refused to allow several varieties of gm corn wheat and rice into europe (despite being accepted as GRAS in the US)the distributors were stuck with it. they decided to donate a shitload of it to african nations like ethiopia and somalia who were (and still are) in a famine. the local "aid workers" from the red cross and several western relief agencies informed the leaders of said nations that the grain was poisonous, and the african nations refused this food which is eaten in the US regularly including by yourself.
