Germinating seeds....

It's a little toasty in there and you have the heat pad under the dome.. which can work... did you just straight up drop a seed in the cube? didn't root it 1st? IMO if you are gonna put it in root riot... you may as well put it in a pot. Being an Auto.. I'd go straight into it's final pot. and put a makeshift dome over the pot til she sprouts up about an inch or 2. I only use root riot for clones. Never heard of anyone germinating in one. Maybe rockwool cubes.

Just keep an eye out for that tap root. Once you see it transplant. Don't cook your seed with that heat mat.

I've had 100% germ by placing in a cup of water. Putting cup on heat mat until seed sinks then placing seed directly in moist soil. And putting on heat mat till sprout. I keep my soil temp between 77-80⁰f

Lose the dome........domes are for clones, not seeds.
Lose the heating mat........seeds germinate fine at room temperature......and you don't need light until it sprouts.
I place mine in a drawer.
I've been using rapid rooters for 25 years without issue.
10 for 10 last time in 3-4 days.

For 15 yrs, I've simply placed a seed 3/8-1/2 inch deep in pre moistened medium, place on heat pad x 80 deg. 3-4 days, all good. Just germed 3 - 9 yr old seeds this way. Soaking, paper towels and fertility chants can't beat it.

Putting in water until sinks is just a pre req that speeds this up. I do this same thing except my extra step is soaking the seeds first
