If your seeds aren't germinated yet its not a good idea to put them right into the soil without some signs of exposed root. Before putting them into soil lay them between a couple paper towels moistened with distilled water. Leave them for about a week in the dark but if your seeds are already in the soil you want either 24 hour light for a few weeks or 18 hours of light, 6 dark. This is a whole new topic for research in itself.
