Germination on rye

Would spores germinate if rye grain jars are kept in a room thats only 69 F? I understand that is not ideal, but would it still be possible, just slower, or not at all?

Depends on the strain but I would say maybe... they generally need some warmth, and 69 degrees probably won't cut it so my guess is it might work, but will grow VERY slowly, if at all.
