germination problems

O have had my seeds in a damp paper towel and in a ziploc bag for like 3 days under a 85 degree light and i check them periodically and they have barely popped are they ready to be placed in rockwool for bubbleponics or what? why havent they come out more?? I barel see white showing, shouldnt there be a root by now? two of 6 havent even popped yet, should i wait or is this abnormal?

to germinate you want darkness and warmth, so try puttin them ontop of the cable box with an upside down bowl over them

i take wet pt n put the beaners on there cover them up with more pt.. i take two small saucers cover them with those like a clam effect.. then put them on top of my dish network box.. works great for the most part unless some of them damn seeds dont wanna germ. i get frustrated when they dont, like the ones i buy.. bagseeds i have no problem germing

mine are pricy like 60$ for 6 and feminized i dont wanna mess um up and i dont have a cable box to do that with

What I suggest you do is that you do like you did, but instead of placing them where there's light, place them in a certain place inside your pc, obvisouly making sure there's no water that can drip into the pc as such.

THat's what I did with mine, and they germinated 3/3, in about less than 28 hours.

(Sometimes, germination can take up to 5 days before they fully become open.)

But if you're much in a hurry, and if they do have SOME of the tap root out, you could plant them right away into your rockwool, just make sure you have enough water and so on.

By the way, when I think of it, 85F is a little warm . Try to aim at something around 80-82F (About 27-28 celcius). That should be a nice and comfortable heat for your wee ones to come out.

darkness -- this is baby plant -- some is searching for light, other stays in the dark. i think it may snuff itself out inside the seed by trying to do what it does when it reaches light -- and with the bag keeping the seed closed...bad news. but i could be wrong -- just what i think :)

id plant it and hope for the best :-?

I would take them out of the bag. I didn't look this up, but it seems logical. 85 does seem a bit warm also. I don't heat mine up and they almost always pop

i do the same -- inside paper towel inside plastic bag, but folded in a towel and on a heatpad on its lowest setting.
