Germination

What's the best method for germination?not asking for advice..just curious to see what people find best to get their seeds Started? Ive always let them soak it water for 24hr then in paper towel until the crack open them plant them..I always thought this would work best.. after my last 2 attempts I've come to realise its probably the worst possible way,for me that is. 1st time 10 x white OG never even cracked open..complete waste! 2nd time 10 x white rhino seeds.. all cracked open after soaking for 24hr then day 1 after being in paper towel all tap roots started to show slightly.. then after that they just completely stopped growing..wasted money AGAIN! 3rd time lucky.. 2 x Zkittlez seeds, planted straight into Coco without germinating they both sprouted successfully within 3 days! I know which method IL be using from now on!!

i used the paper towel method for YEARS but lately I had been running into issues and switched to this method... 100% success over the last 17 beans (-: I wont go back.. ever... who would have thought... you plant a seed in dirt and it fucking grows!?

That's exactly same with me mate!never had any problems, then all of a sudden problem after problem until I tried this way!

I really wonder what happened but hey going back to basics is always good to me! some pics of my nursery and babies started this way. All germed in three days (not all of these are in the same stage obviously) (-:

I pop mine in jiffy pucks. I let the pucks soak up all the water they want, then I gently squeeze them and get the excess out. Pop the seed about 1/2" down, and put over a heat source. 100% so far. Do my vegetable seeds the same way and always have good luck. Usually they'll sprout within a couple days.

Best method from my experience is rapidrooter, seed, water, heat pad set to 77°, and let it go.
This is simple, and doesn't involve ever handling the plant after its tap root pops out which can potentially shock or damage it.
Rockwool cubes work almost just as good as rapid rooters but have a slightly high PH so you have to pre-treat them. Otherwise they are a great choice too.

I put a gg in a glass cup of Dasani on Tuesday night @730
Next day, yesterday...15 hours later.. it had a tap root poking out.
Skipped the paper towel method I usually do and just went to rockwool.
Well today it’s out and with no shell on its head.
By far the quickest I’ve ever germed.

Less than 48 hours from seed to sprout.
The key is heat while the seed is in water.
Set it on a cable box, heat pad or pc. Anything that’s not uncomfortable to the touch will do. 80-90f

Seed in a shot glass filled with bottled water and a few drops of hydrogen peroxide. Soak 24 hours then planted pointy side down in a solo cup of coco. Watered with water from shotglass, then covered with saran wrap and placed on a heating pad. 99.9% success rate.
