Getting my lights dialed in!!!

Well to start off. I have a stupid amount of lights in my little 3x3.
I have 550 watts of Vero29s and 480watts of citizen 1212.

obviously running these lights cranked up will cook plants. I found that out pretty fast. lol

so I would Dim the lights down and kinda just watched the plants. Guessing at it really.

well I got a new phone and decided to try a PPFD app. I tested it agains MFG spec and it reads pretty accurate IMO.

Well my eye ball dimming was off. I was still at 1150ppfd at canopy level. Which would explain the nute burn I was seeing on the black indica at only 550ppm.

anyway using the ppfd app I set my lights to 850ppfd at canopy level. Bottoms of plants have 710ppfd. Very even spread with that many light sources.

I’m just waiting for my flower power UVB light to come in.

can’t wait to see what these changes will bring to my buds.

lights all cranked up were showing 1450 ~ ppfd @ 20”. Crazy high.E357EC92-BDE3-4A57-A0E8-94AF96CC9983.jpeg7E0F272F-F1C2-4B53-9489-025D1013D20E.jpeg

Good looking setup. Always better to have more power come flower so I'd be excited if I was you!

Even half that is still overkill lol anything over 360w in a 3x3 isn’t necessary. 40w/sq ft is plenty with quality LED’s.

You could grab another 4x4 tent and still have plenty of light.

Yeah I know. But I had the 4 cob bars from another thing I was doing. Might as well use them. Just a better spread with 13 light sources with the same low wattages.

whole grow is pulling 650 watts. That’s all in 4” and 6” in-lines. 2 fans air, pumps, humidifier. So I’d figure just lights is probably only 400 watts all dimmed down to 850ppfd.
