getting rid of the smell

Hi I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea to get rid of the sweet skunky smell that overwelms you when you walk in my front door? This is now my third grow and my first 2 I had no issues what so ever. I am growing some Papaya and Chronic and although I love the aroma in the house. I grow in a spare bathroom shower stall in the back of my house with the door sealed as best I can and an exhaust out the window. Any ideas?

no I live on the third floor. The window that the exhaust is going out is facing another building with no windows on that side and no way to get above my window and no entrance into the alley way between the buildings.

k well if you get a carbon filter you will eliminate the smell....in your house and i recomende getting a vortex fan that exchanges the air in your room 2x a minute at least

You can make you own cheap carbon filter using a car air filter, the round cylinder ones for like hondas. A short piece of pvc tube that fits in the middle of the filter. Then go to you local pet store and buy carbon pellet. The pellet come in a mesh bag, cut one end and dump them in the middle of the filter and place the mesh bag over one end of the pvc pipe and insert into the filter and you just made a carbon filter. I have heard of people crushing the pellets, but it works just fine either way.

if the exhaust is going out the window wouldnt just the bigger fan work? if the carbon filter is on the exhaust isnt it kinda defeating the purpose?

also dont let no1 in unless they smoke and if they ask anything just say you just smoked never admit might "shit" that you have the ladies making the world turn

well if your on the third floor and the people under you and w/e in your builiding dont smoke then you should get a good amount of the same smelling airfreshener but not the kind you spray

aswell and get the filters , and hope no snitches smell the beautiful ladies that they cant get none from

The only other guy who lives upstairs smokes but doesnt know shit and the apartment under us has never been remodeled and has been empty except for being used for storage by me and my next door neighbor whose parents own the building. Its because of there being no one really around that got brave enough to cultivate my own.

if your worried aboutt the smell u obviously dont want anyone to know..correct? so if u exhaust clean air there is never a chance ne one will smell it.. if you just want to pump dank air out well then its your risk not my bro.. i tend to not take un needed risks when it comes to my freedom good luck wit whatever u choose

I live in second floor (top floor) and in a two-bedroom small sized apt. people live all around me. I grow in the guest room where the window is facing the back of apt. I keep that window open all the time. I run my central air constantly, which has a double-layer of carbon filtering material sewn into the standard filter. I also use three True Air by Febreeze air filters inside the grow room. I'm growing 20 trainwreck plants and the smell is noticeable upon entering my house. My worry has always been with the walkway in front of my door and the people passing by. I've rarely smelled anything after coming home from work, but it's a worry that can drive a grower mad, insane and paranoid beyond comprehension. A new worry i have is the following: My central air running keeps the grow room pressurized so that the air pushes out the window i leave open outside to the back of the apt... I wonder if the smell goes up or down ? If it does then I'm sure the downstairs neighbors might smell it when they use their backdoor.... So now, even though I'm broke from lights, pots, building materials, power bill and so on, i am trying to find extra funds to sew a double layer filter into the screen on that window to help the smell... I also want to seal the grow room door the best I can with weatherstripping so minimal air from the grow area is pushed into the rest of the house. I also use glade plugins, the auto spray thing in my living room.... My wife called me today and told me the smell really stinks. Man, the biggest worry about growing is coming home one day to find the blue and red lights flashing in front of your house. I think what I will do when that happens. If it ever does, I hope my wife is with me so we can run away at least for a night before I spend 10-15 in the slammer for growing my passion in life.
