Getting Screwed on Ebay?

So I purchased a tent off ebay and sent the company a money order. Almost 2 weeks later they are saying they never received it. It was a postal money order, so I went to the post office to fill out the paper work to see if it was cashed, who it was cashed by and where. I really don't know what to do... Do I just claim it missing and void it to avoid any sort of deeper investigating or do I just suck it up and by a different one... which I don't really have money for at all... Any adivce anyone? Oh yeah, the seller was californianursery. Thanks!

Use paypal. Without paypal u never will get your money back. U will be lucky to recieve your purchase at all. Good luck.

I haven't heard back from the post office yet about that. Anyways, I just wanted to see if the guy who I made it out to cashed it.

i wouldnt buy from someone unless they used paypal man.. see what ebay can do? i'd def. be calling customer service..

I'm going to wait until I hear something from the post office before I go nuts I think... But is it even worth it. Having people dig around figuring out what I was trying to buy?

They aren't going to know what you bought unless you wrote something on the money order. All they do is check to see if it was cashed and if it was, they send you a copy of the signature - at least that's how they handled it a few years ago when I traced one. I think if it wasn't cashed you had the option of them resending a new money order to the place the first one went or giving you your money back (minus money order fee).

one time I lost a money order somebody had sent me after I shipped their item, but before I deposited it! It was a USPS money order and they determined that it had not been cashed and issued me a new one, no problems, just a week delay. You should be good.

Ha, So I got it all figured out now. This morning they sent me an email saying they still did not receive payment. Later I sent one back saying I went to the post office to trace it and what not. A little while after that I received one that said that they just got it and my order will be sent out tomorrow. Haha, ironic no? Maybe they did, who knows. As long as I get my shit!

but fer real, seems like everybody want to get a piece of you... especially the big companies. I paid my electric 3 days after the due date so they tell me i gotta pay a disconnect/reconnect fee even thougn no one has even done that yet. I pay my bill... the next day they flick off my electricity for 5 seconds and then turn it back on. (So they can say that did in fact disconnect my shite due to late payment. Urseholes.)
