Good morning Ms, happy holiday. As the ad for the tent notes you could get away with a 250W in the tent at 2.5x2.5. If you want a 400 that's fine, the lamp is air cooled and you will NEED a good fan to cool that lamp, you will need another fan to vent the box unless you leave the intake end of the lamp open and use the air in the box to cool the light. In this case a passive intake may work, you will have to plug everything in and see.

it looks like a good choice but what i would suggest is that if u look around e-bay, and a few hydro shops(some of which sell on e-bay), u can get a full tent kit in one package, they have carbon filters, extractor fans, lights, easy rolls and timers. i'm a tent grower myself and was haveing a look the other day for a 2nd tent(the plan is three tents, 1 vegging, 2 flowering). i found a full tent set with 600hps for around £210( i guess thats $340 or so). then was 4' x 4' x 6.6'. thats the same size as my present tent where i'm growing 6 plants organic, although 5 may be a better amount unless ur lollypoping or heavily pruning. with a tent u are really going to need an extractor to give good air flow or moisture will build up that can very easily result in mold(believe me this is not a possibility its almost gauranteed!!!). i think if u purchase seperately its gaunna cost more, u r also gonna have separate delivery costs on top. also if u find an e-bay hydro supplier u can order all ur odds and ends from them like pots, thermometrs, ph meter, nutrients , soil(or hydro), and watering cans etc. best of luck babe.

Happy Holiday's to you too :-D What kind of fan would you suggest? I'm thinking of putting the tent in a pretty big shed I have due to lack of room, and the temps here are in the 30's-40's. Will this help with the temps or will it now be too cold?

Thanks for the advice! I've been looking on e-bay trying to find one of those packages but I'm not having any luck, could you link me to one?

Any other suggestions?

i think youll be just fine with a 400 watter in 30 degrees.should work out almost perfect and if not you can always add more fans.,but their right you can probably find a good package deal on a tent + hps just look around., try googling a local hydro shop
