GH FloraNova Series

Hi everyone!

I am wondering if anyone has any tips for the Flora Nova Series by General Hyrdoponics.

Is it good for soil?

What are the advantages/disadvantages of using the simple vs expert feeding schedule?

Did you add any additional nutrients to it? I was thinking of adding Silica, Hydrozyme and CalMg…..

Anything else is greatly appreciated!

is this your first grow? i would start off light or with the recommended feeding and work your way up, let the plants tell you if they need more.

If by peat moss you mean pro-mix or another inert peat moss medium run GO CalMag and Dyna Gro Pro-Tekt the whole time as directed. Run a beneficial bacteria supplement with molasses in the non nute feeding we talked about up until week 4 of flower. I dont recommend feeding microbes with your nutes, becasue the EDTA will inhibit the growth of the bacteria. Start supplementing with enzymes when you begin flowering, doesn't matter if you mix with nutes or not, you could mix hygrozyme with H2O2 and the enzymes will still survive.

Flora Nova is good, one thing you have to be very careful about is proper mixing of nutrient.

Flora Nova is so freaking dense, you literally have to pour it out of the container into a bigger container and mix it with a spoon. And then it will be mixed properly. If your working the gallon size you can shake it till your arms cramp up and it will not be properly mixed.

Mix floranova with regular tap water, RO water will drop the PH too low.

I put a little bit of epsoms in place of cal-mag _if_ needed. Should be plenty of calcium from tap. Usually FN is pretty good outta the bottle if your working within the medium feed schedule. I run ~1300 -1400 PPM. You could run it hotter and it tends not to burn plants.

I use it with silica.. Armor Si, but Armor Si tends to mess with PH. Its alkaline (says so on the bottle). Its a winning combo. The stalks on my plants are amazing.

I havent used it with soil, so I dont have a comment there.
