Yes, they will be outdoors for flowering! I think they will thrives. The conditions are ideal :D

Love the new box too.
May have to try out the 18/6 cycle... hmm :P Guess I should go out and get a timer!

yea ive been on 18\6 for entire veg myself. experts say 18\6 seems to give more females than 24\0 . pretty much same growth in my eyes..

so..more females.. less power consumption.. same growth.. yea 18\6 for me :)

I just shut it down...
After all this perpetual availability of light, my plants will now rest for 6 hours :D

It does seem worth it! Females are necessary, and I love to save a buck!

Thanks for the advice guys.

Now on 18/6, not much more growth has happened since I last posted images, in the weed, anyway.
I am beginning to notice some mystery plants taking root in my planters... There are a few of them, all still just cracked seedlings.

I will wait for them to enlarge slightly before I snap some shots of them. Doubt they will cause a problem before I get em out!

Update soon.

Cheers!

Congratulations on starting your flowering stage!
Day 11 for me here, and I just finished weeding my planters.
Several intruders sprung up overnight, so I uprooted em before they grow any larger and start competing with my more prized crop. :)

I guess that is the trouble with using soil from any old garden center!
On the plus side, this is an indication that the soil is adequately fertile, so no major nutes are going to be introduced.

I did however, put a biostick into each of the planters.

These are small, slow release nutrient sticks, that provide only the trace nutrients, generally in too low a quantity in natural fertilisers.

Here are some closeups of the plants. You may notice some of the unwanted growth if you look carefully!
I also have a pcture of the same, after pulling em out of the grow

THanks for keeping an eye on my trials! You all are a great help. :blsmoke:

Cheers!

be careful with nutrient sticks though. hard to monitor what they get in nutes. in turn very hard to find what they got too much\little of if they get a def\burn

looking forward to the pics :) jesus.. i can smell my ladies all the way down the livingroom..

SO here the clips are:

Trying out some macro shots. These are off my phone camera, but it looks like anything works once you figure out how to use it right :D

Still trying to get them even better!

Nute sticks removed.
I have instead opted to dissolve one in 10 gallons of water (as per solubility parameters on box). Will mist the plants every evening. This should keep the whole thing in check!

Thank you for the heads up! :)

lso, notice on some of the shots:

The plant looks somewhat fuzzy.

Hope this is not some sort of disease..

I figure the plants are too young to exhibit any presence of trics yet :P

BIG mistake!

I decided to once again, raise the planters, so my seedlings could be even closer to the light. Was not paying attention when I did this, and I left the CFLs all to one side of the plant.
Naturally, 6 hours later, the plant has decided to start growing towards the light.

IMG_0077.jpg

Quick fix:
Using hooks made out of paper clips to prop up the little plant. Same stuff, pluss cotton twine will be used once i start LST

IMG_0075.jpg IMG_0074.jpg

Have repositioned the lights, and will now HOPEFULLY carry on the grow with better luck! :P

IMG_0078.jpg IMG_0076.jpg

Well, all things considered:

Crisis met, Crisis dealt with, Time to light up!

Update:Have added a 12 volt fan (did it myself).
It has a short angle oscillation, which is adequate for the 2 plants.
Hopefully this will strengthen them up a bit! The slight breeze lowers the temperature slightly.
It now ranges between 25 - 27 deg C depending on time of day!

So far, so good!
