So it seems like adding the perlite and vermiculite worked.I bored 3 holes with a toothbrush handle right around the root zone all the way to the bottom. I filled the holes with vermiculite. I noticed where i filled the holes its wet now. Looks like its leaching the water out and helping to add oxygen to the roots. The plant perked up a little so hopefully its good to go.20181227_193404.jpg

Your soils staying dry because the plants not feeding or DRINKING. .....can't see shit way that led on...wot were your roots like when you potted up.....we're they sufficient enuff to go into the bucket. ...?is your climate in order.....?

you mean staying wet? The roots looked fine. 65-70° F 55-60% humidity, small computer fan for ventilation just to keep the leaves dancing.pretty sure the soil just needs aeration. I feel like its peat based so it gets oversaturated unless its in a hot dry climate.

so i trimmed off the yellow leaves and its growing steadily. I changed the light cycle to 12-12 and the side branches are stretching.im not concerned with a harvest on this one, im just using it for sexing and cloning. i will still flower it out completley to make sure genetics are strong (if its female) and that there is no herm. traits. Do yourself a favour pal......don't use a clear cup to grow your plants........light to the roots is detrimental to them.........I think that's wot all your probs stemmed from......

Yea it looking a fair bit better......roots will be fully mobile now (by the looks of it)......give it a chance to get a few nodes bigger.......then you can take decent size clones.......best of luck .....

Plant is looking a lot better from what I saw earlier. Just read the entire thread. You did have a water issue at the begging and your plant was clearly not drinking the water.

Personally I use fabric pots to allow good air circulation for the roots and soil. You can get 5gallon 5 packs on amazon for $18.

i am using fabric pots for my flowers, but this one is really just a tester/donor for cloning, so i didnt put as much attention into it. It did serve as a good lesson on how much water my soil would hold and how long it would stay wet, im adding a bunch of perlite to it from now on.
