Hi all
Haven't been around a while but plan on being back now. Ok...so I've started these girls on from seedlings. everything was going well. Nice lush green leaves on all of them. Im using 600hps lamps and keeping them at a height of 16 in higher than the tops. The room temp has been a constant 24/5 c during the entire 24/1 lighting schedule. Upon the advice of a friend who apparently knows his onions i switched the lighting schedule to 18/6... i'm a couple of weeks from switching them over to 12/12 .
So at the moment my girls are 7 weeks old. I delayed the 12/12 by a week as in the beginning I was struggling to maintain a steady and healthy room temp. It was 30/31...I replaced the air con unit and now the issue I dont think is a problem.
However I did unfortunately discover an oversight on my behalf. When I switched the light schedule to 18/6 I failed to remember that the air con was pumping the room down to 16c when light off. Now it never actually reached this point according to my record-able meter but it did hit a low of 18c...Then was happening for at-least four days before I noticed a significant change in my girls. They seem to lost out on some colour and are displaying a yellowish pale green finish upon most of the leaves throughout the plant but and I add not all of them.
Im running 6 sq mtres with 6 lamps with ten girls per metre.
Since noticing the change I've sleepless nights lol....wondering what i'm doing wrong. Ive since changed the air con output during lights off to maintain a steady 22c.
I live in a warm climate at this time of year and the fresh air being brought in will be around 27c during lights off. During lights on the fresh air coming in will be a steady 34c. and for this reason my air con is set to 18c to try and maintain a steady indoor temp of 24/5c.
Ive been feeding nukes for three weeks now. The ph after adding them is 6.2 with an ec of 8....
Guys I hope ive given you enough to try explain my concerns....
Photo on its way......
