Fox farm ocean forest, no nutes yet they’re only 2 weeks from seed and I’ve read that fox farm and seeds in general are good for the first month, watering when soil is completely dry only around root base, ppm/ec is unknown just bought a ppm tester and it will be here tomorrow, ph has been 6.4 to 6.8 thanks for the reply

By now, when you water saturate the whole medium, and wait to water again until medium is significantly lighter, not bone dry but much lighter.

The FFOF might be a little stronger on the nutrients than the plant needs. That's what you might be seeing with the singed edges. In another week, the plant should have grown significantly. Start introducing 1/4 strength nutes.

I watered that way on my first grow and waited until it was dry but severely overwatered so bad that it killed the entire grow

You've been way under watering.. 5gal pot needs about 3 quarts..
Water from the outside in.. Make the roots grow out to water..
Water slowly, dry soil lets the water run thru.. Make sure you saturate all the soil..
