God Bud Grow Journal

Hello fellow RIU tokers and growers!

Ive been part of the site about a year now, haven't been too active because my last grow ended abruptly.

Now that I have gotten my own apartment its time to step things up a little and I am tired of paying for my weed so this is my solution =)

I currently have 6 fem'd god bud plants that are now on the official 'Day 1' and I have decided to make a journal of my grow.

These pics are taken with my camera phone(transferred via bluetooth 4tw!) so I apologize for lack of close up quality.
------------
Initial Setup
------------
600 Watt Galaxy Switchable Ballast
600 Watt Metal Halide bulb
Yield Master Supreme 2 w/ 6" vents
6 x Feminized God Bud seeds

Feel free yo leave any tips, questions or comments:mrgreen:!

Below is a quick snap of my initial grow room, buying venting materials tomorrow after class. Also 1/6 seedlings after one day.

Note: Temp is at 85 because my fan was off for an hour or so. My normal temp ranges from 79-81.

Happy farming,

JJD

The room stays around 79-81 with the fan on so venting isn't an issue right now. I will be investing in a carbon filter for flowering, the god stinks .

Soil is MG Organic(3/5/3 i believe), I am tight on cash and home depot is right down the street lol, but my seedlings are very healthy right now.

I will be using a 15/15/15 nute supply during veg.

A little late on this but here is day 3 of one of my six seedlings. Can't really see it clearly, the 600W MH owns the my camera phone lol

More to come!

The soil is MG Organic. I have been reading reviews on this forum and the general consensus is its fine. It is just really dried out in the pic, I saw a couple of gnats flying around and I am taking the precautions.

No perlite, it is straight soil. I like keeping things as natural as possible.

Perlite adds moisture retention and improved drainage correct?

Nice plants Itz, that comparison shows a lot. At least the first one wasn't an epic fail lol

What lights are you using?

Yeah I know MG wasn't the best choice but I don't have a lot of cash available (college =P) right now, my buddy actually paid for most of my setup. I am giving him some of the final product in return. I have seen some nice success stories from MG Organic though.

Anyways, I am definitely going to use Fox Farm next time without a doubt, but MG Organic should suffice for my first real grow this time around. The seedlings look great right now.

I am hoping the 600W MH will make up for some of what the soil lacks, I'll just have to wait and see.

gahh i think i need to kick up the watts on my system; though not even much of one right now. I'd love to get a MH bulb but them are expensive, and like you got no money for the expense hah

JJD know anything on cfls?
usual requirement on watts needed?
