Good Fan Speed Control for my Valuline 8" Inline.. ?

I got this 8" inline fan for my 7x20 grow area

Amazon suggests a fan speed controller for $28

I'm a cheap bastard, so that $28 fan speed controller looks good to me, is it compatible with my inline fan, even tho Amazon suggests it , it don't mean crap
But if there is another brand/higher quality model for under $20-30 bucks, then maybe you guys can point me in that direction, thanks..

And also looking for a good odor control (carbon/charcoal filter) for this inline fan, (this inline fan IS NOT being used to air cool my hoods, this inline fan is just being used for exhaust of air out of the room) Im hoping to get a fan speed controller and a carbon filter for under $200.

I use units called "The Speedster" which is also in the $28 range. Got it at hydrowholesale. It's a nice item, never a problem.

I think "Phresh Filters" are the best on the market, are lighter then most and seem to last longer then the others.
