Unemployment, drug addiction and depression from no work . All the way down to being homeless
We are talking freight liners and everything thing else . And if cars don't crash why build them ......Oops more unemployment.

Well yes . Life is cruel.
It will probably lead to more alcohol addiction too.
I forget the percentage , one could Google it but a lot of people drive for a living, a lot . But hell we all can take a one way trip Mars soon though.

I have a feeling that people will find something more productive to do.

No one builds roads by hand in America anymore, this saves tens of thousands of jobs.

Do you think there are people sitting at home, pining away for the days when they spooned hot tar onto a roadway? I'll bet not.

Still though road work employees alot of people and they still use hot tar . Lol
There's all ready a shortage of jobs what do you suppose will fill it's place ?

I didn't buy the premise then, either. We're too cranky to sit around for long. At least, some of us.

More automation, otherwise they'd need 100 times the number of workers they have now to keep up with modern building schedules.

Are you against renewable energy?

Don't you want people to have meaningful work and let automation handle the dull, dirty, uncomfortable and dangerous work so we can do better things?

How is either of those things a 'leftie' idea?
