I am just setting up my grow area it is a 6'x3' and its 7' tall. I am looking for a good site to buy an hps grow setup and was also wondering if i should do a 400 watt hps or 600 watt hps. I am looking to do 10-15 plants.

i would say go with the bigger of the two if you are planning on running that many plants... i like htg supply for my lamps.. they have good prices and way fast shipping.. i usually get my package on about the third day or so..

Hey we got our light from HTG... got it a week after ordering it and everything worked great. Had an issue with the tracking number and emailed them and they got back to me within 24 hours so great service so far. Website is http://www.htgsupply.com/

Hey Im gonna hijack, But when you buy just a ballast from HTG, does it come all setup? so you can just grab your bulb and throw it right in the socket? or do I have to do some wiring? I dont like wiring.

We got this one: http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=47929 came ready to go. Just screw in the bulb and plug the ballast into the wall.. nice long cords too.

In my experience ballasts either last forever or not at all. When I was setting up my grow I went through about 5 dif ballasts by the same company til I got one that didn't break when I first plugged it in.
Normally I would have been pissed and switched brands but lumatek is obviously a reputable company. And the hydro shop keep kept replacing it so no big.
The only thing is is that you can buy a much more efficient ballast/bulb combo with a little more money and you would def reap the benefit at the end of season. The 600 watt ballast I have with the bulb I have is producing close to 120k lumens at 1 ft. What this means to me is I have the potential to harvest nearly as big as a 1000w with only 600w, which is bad ass.
