they are these little humidity packs that you can stick in the jar. It's supposed to keep the humidity perfect in the jar and I've heard a lot of good things. Will those Boveda packs remove that grassy smell? I want to pick some up.

Yes, you said that you have very dry environment and buds are drying faster than they should? anyway after about a week, when stems start snapping, you start curring, and if humidity is bellow 57% curring stops so chorophyl does not evaporate that efficiently, if it's above 69% mold is more likely to happen.. also 62% of RH is considered to be optimum humidity for curring your buds. But trust me man, I dropped my dried buds in the jar together with boveda pack in the evening, next morning I opened the pot-box the smell was sooooo colourful :))) I dunno, maybe it's sort of placebo, I did not read anything additional, I just trusted Kite on this :)

Just depending on room humidity..is only 30-45%. I really want to bring out the skunks potential. Last round with the skunk weighed more but still had the same "grassy" type scent.

I bought it from here:
http://www.bovedainc.com/store/tobacco/boveda-medium-8-gram/

had to spend like $13 for delivery and $10 for the item itself, but I thought since I am becoming guru on smoking why not to invest extra in taste :))) I keep my buds in 32oz icecream box, so 1 of that pack did the trick for me... looks like we have very similar humidity level, but since my wife dries laundry in attic, I get a bit more of RH in that room, like 45%, anyway first time buds dried in 7 days, and curred for months, with proper RH in the box, hopefully I will get new buds faster cause gosh, that chlorophyll(or whatever else is there) tastes nasty :D like some rotten road weed(not mj) after snow melts in spring..

Ok, cool. So I might be able to find them (or something similar) in a smoke shop. And I read around for a quick few minutes, a lot of people seem to like them vs. the people that don't. So, after I get my check today, I'll be looking through a few smoke shops. Don't want to order them online, for the reason you mentioned (shipping prices).

OH, by the way, since they are pretty much dried, I went ahead and weighed them. Got a total of 9.4 grams. I expected a quarter so, I was in ball park range. Though I'm a little disappointed, last skunk was twice that. Shows bloom nutes aren't really good.

yeah, delivery cost is so much annoying, in the end i got tired of trying to find somewhere else so i just ordered from there, i was assuming that since ur located in us for u itll be cheaper, anyway service was wonderful, i got my package despatched next day, 3more days i had it alr, so curring department is fully employed now :))

about the yield man we had our lesson. health factor should be pushing growth, not stress factor, its so good that u suggested me to read ub thread, with that and mel frank book and KH on top now i am confident about what im doing :) haha i wonder what will be our next yield
i also reread my thread from the beginning. all those kite advices now are making sense, also so funny to read how after he suggested not to use bloom i go with " yes ofc but maybe i should " :)))

Yea, I'll be glad to hit an ounce a plant. With everything in check, smell and all. I'll probably only veg for a week or two next time. Just going to be a gap in between grows so, kinda want to close that gap a bit. That and I'll definitely be going rubbermaid for the duration of my time in the current house, so small plants are going to be a must.

Going to try the Skunk in a dutch tonight, tomorrow's the birthday but, I gotta get up at 4 in the morning the following day so, won't be much celebrating happening, especially with the small check I just got. Maybe a small seed order? Hmmmm.......

Well, the EJ is just about there. Trying to wait it out a bit because the two buds right beneath the cola have almost completely connected. That cola is dense btw. Thinking of chopping Sunday night but I do want to try to get some better pictures and try to get some other/more professional opinions on when to chop. Also, if I should take a few buds that I think are done and leave the rest for another couple days or so.

Regardless of the weight on this one, I am impressed with this plant and the strain. Beautiful citrus smell, high amount of resin, and the buds that did turn purple for me also have some lime green and that is a great mix if you ask me. I do expect about the same amount of weight from this EJ as I got from the Skunk. MAYBE a little more.

Also want to get a few pics of the Skunk buds, regardless of their smell. I am putting off rolling a blunt of it until the morning, a nice b-day wake 'n' bake if it turned out okay.

Alright guys, got a few minutes with a homie to use his phone to snap some shots of the EJ. These pics are 1,000 times better than my shitty webcam shots. So here they are...the ultimate question...pull tomorrow night or wait x amount of days?

We have a cola shot, mid-plant shot, and lowest bud shot. And since not too many are commenting on my grow here, you'll have to deal with a double-post RIU.

I did forget to take shots of the Skunk buds, sorry about that.

well i just looked at ur EJ pistils and their all brown, trichs are invisible to judge on them :))

Yea, but I don't want that to be the only thing I base it off of. Some buds just don't look filled in yet. Haven't gotten any responses on the post I put in the other thread. If nobody responds with a different approach, I'll be chopping when the lights come on tomorrow night. Will be giving her trichs another look tonight before bed.

63 days-9 weeks in and I'm calling it. Chop time tonight, would've been last night but I needed some sleep. Hopefully I hit this dry/cure right, I really want that smell and flavor to shine on this one.

Keep us updated on exactly what you do when you chop. Are you gonna chop and hang it right away or do you chop, trim the fan leaves, and then hang?

Chop, trim off fan leaves ONLY, and then hang..yes..the whole plant. This time it'll hang in the closet where the humidity should be a bit higher. At least 40%, 48% was the high in there the other day when lights were off. Watered the plant last night too, hoping that'll assist in slow drying, did the same with the Skunk but 2 days prior to chop.

My big mistake I think with the Skunk was that when they got, what I thought to be too damp, I left the lid on the jar open awhile and maybe they weren't as wet as I thought, therefore left the jar open too long.

Trimming her down a bit now. Of course, as always, I clipped off a small piece of bud by accident. I hate that. Just trying to thin out a dense area a bit then I'll be taking her by the stalk and hanging her in the closet. Hoping for at least a 4-5 day dry time this go, but with this tiny plant, I don't know.
