Not too bad looking on the 3rd run. Are you using some sort of heat mat underneath to help keep temps up enough to allow bubbles to run out while you purge?

Looking good. Keep researching and experimenting and you’ll soon have the best concentrates of anyone you know.

For now the heating pad on low gives the oil a temp of 101 and medium 108-110.

I’ve read so many different ways to make it. The common thing seems to be low heat somewhere between 100-115. The other day I read something about purging for 100 hours pump running nonstop. WTH?

Here is that 3rd run today. It has changed since yesterday and it was just sitting in the chamber overnight no vac no heat.

22-23 hours total from blast to this.

If I turn up the heat (to what?), and vac purge this again, will the air bubbles work their way out or should I just call this done?

Maybe I’ll just cut this in half and heat one to melting and vac purge it and find out what happens myself. I also wonder if it will clear it up more. I’m do that tomorrow for sure.

Sure are a lot of tiny particles in there. I’ll have to also add a few coffee filters to my column.

The bubbles escape more readily when the concentrate if fully molten. About 100/115F, but different for each run.

What vacuum level are you reaching?

This is full vac.

So I took this piece from yesterday

and melted it at 105 then full vac for 5-10 mins. Released. Repeated this 3 times.

Did the same at 115 and 125.

Getting there. Sure is dirty. I’ll blast again in a few days and add a coffee filter or two.

It looks like more material today. It’s just on my finger different.

Looks legit. I peg my pump meter at 30+ and keep my temps slightly below 100F for about 24 hours. I'll toggle it a bit from time to time to work the bubbles out faster. Depending on size of the slab (50+ g) I'll flip it a few times. 20g or less just keep it like it is.

Nice finger bro! If we call your starting material the Holy Shit, what shall we call your end clear finger guard?

I like to bring the concentrate up to its melt point and then start the vacuum. I pump down until it starts to boil furiously, and then hold at that vacuum level until it calms down, before pulling down further. When I reach 10,000 microns/~-29.5" Hg without furious boiling, I back fill with nitrogen and flip the patty.

I then repeat until it no longer furiously boils at -29.5" Hg after I flip it, and the larger and varied sized solvent bubbles cease, leaving only the fine equal sized CO2 bubbles from terpenes and decarboxylation.

At that point I back fill with nitrogen again, and let cool before removing from the chamber/oven.

The nitrogen keeps oxygen away from the hot cannabinoids and terpenes, so there is no accelerated oxidation.

Did this yesterday.

And this today.

Currently working on another pc now. Right after the water bath I decided to whip it left, right, horizontal and vertical then straight into the chamber. Full vac. 110-112f. Guess we'll see what turns up tomorrow.

I'm having a BLAST. hehehaha.

I just started posting again after a long break on here. It's nice to come back to positive comments and good peeps.

Nice work! I am a few weeks away from buying my setup. I’m really excited to up my game like you have!

It’s so nice having the option to extract something and make killer products .

Keep up the good work!

Thats looking awesome bro. I have been looking at getting myself a vac pump and chamber but damn lab equipment is pricey.
Hide $55 from yourself every month for 3 months and your set.
Or $27.66 a month for 6 months.
Or $1 a day for 166 days.

Anything can be accomplished, it just matters how you get there. :bigjoint:

I just bought the same equipment and vac oil a few days ago. Have everything here ready to go, several ounces of material to run today. How have things turned out?

Run it and pop some pics up! I'd like to see it. Just did a small 1 oz run. It ended up being a tight snap and pull.

Some others. Sure is fun playing trial and error. Because the errors are just as good. :blsmoke:
