You can start it now if you like. The tea will hold and continue to do its thing as long as you keep the airstone bubbling. Once you cut the air off it needs to be used within a couple of hours. After that it will begin to become anaerobic(stinky, no longer earthy)and in cooler winter temps(under 72) the additional brew time will be a benefit.........

Speaking of Urea. Here are some fun facts. Every nutrient maker today can trace thier roots back to this humble beginning....

HISTORY:

Urea was first discovered in urine in 1773 by the French chemist Hilaire Rouelle. In 1828, the German chemist Friedrich Wöhler obtained urea by treating silver isocyanate with ammonium chloride.[2]
AgNCO + NH4Cl → (NH2)2CO + AgClThis was the first time an organic compound was artificially synthesized from inorganic starting materials, without the involvement of living organisms. The results of this experiment implicitly discredited vitalism: the theory that the chemicals of living organisms are fundamentally different from inanimate matter. This insight was important for the development of organic chemistry. His discovery prompted Wöhler to write triumphantly to Berzelius: "I must tell you that I can make urea without the use of kidneys, either man or dog. Ammonium cyanate is urea." For this discovery, Wöhler is considered by many the father of organic chemistry.

Above Thanks to Wiki...

edit: plus it relates too chem nutes being/not being compatable with organics and beneficials.....

So we hit week 7 for the bagseeds and they are looking tasty as hell. Super frosty and putting on weight daily. They were fed the WCT on Friday and although I believed it helped I am brewing another one as I write this. This time I taped my heating mat to the side of the bucket and got the temp were it should have been this last time. Somehow I missed the importance of the temps being at 80F for beneficials to breed properly. I used 2 tbls. F/E and 2 tbls. M/B, 2 tbls. molasses, and finally an oz. of cider vinegar. I left the worm casting in for 8 hrs and then removed them and now it is bubbling away nicely.

Anyway, take a look and let me know what ya think.

New clones cut today from the Big Band mom. Really like how she is coming along staying real bushy. I am really excited to try this strain.

View attachment 1409270

P/R and Isis clone up-canned into the #2 pots and will round out my mom stock. I decided to put the P/R I had with the Big Band mom into the flower room to keep it going perpetual. My plan is no more than 3 weeks between harvest. Fingers crossed.

The 2 P/R's at 3 weeks flowering and coming on strong. You can see the two phenoes in these ladies.

Thanks D, I was liking how she looked also. Nice and fat fingers and really bushy. Been keeping the cfls right on her to keep he compact. I was reading the breeder description and thought it funny when it said this:

"Big Band feminized seed is a typical representative of a mainly sativa skunk. It's a perfect combination of famous attributes which any sativa can present, with some easy growing abilities of an indica. This seed turns into a medium sized plant with an attractive sativa look. Longish narrow leaves on a thin stem leave enough space for compact buds to develop."

I think that girl picked up the Indica genes myself?

Thanks Zoo fan! lol I have been pretty busy with work and the garden. I also been looking into the (dare I say it) "Organic" methods of growing. Not because of the stereo types of salt based ferts but because of ease of application. Been visiting Bruce Deuley and Howard " The Dirt Doctor" Garrett's web sites and found a ton of stuff both relevant and not. Although they both are serious OG's, I am trying to find a happy medium between the two.

Edit: Thanks for turning me on to them Cowboy, wealth of knowledge between the two.

yes, i am very happy with my current situation, thank you Bigman. not that it is perfect, but its perfect for me. Now I just have to manage container size, as it will hurt or help me in flower. but I have a drip system on the way and I think I can get buy with some small containers with an auto-feeder.
