Vegged too long.

Light is 17” from the wood, it’s an HLG Scorpion Diablo, which I won in a contest, this is my first run with it.

I’m using an apogee ePAR sensor to set the light, it’s at 500 micromol/sq. meter at that height right now, I’m ramping it up.

Nutrients are Jacks 321 and tap water, 1.2EC jacks and 0.2EC tap water. I tried 1.4EC jacks and got a little tip burn, maybe after they’re done transitioning I can bump it up a bit. No amendments.

They are on day 14 of 12/12, I’m not really sure what to expect because I haven’t grown these before, I’d say a medium rate of stretch based on my limited experience.

Just got my HLG Scorpion Diablo as well. What height and power did you veg at and for how long? Saw you commented that you were at 17” at one point, but the light looks closer than that now. Any info you can provide is greatly appreciated! I’m trying to get my setup dialed in. Keep up the great work!

I didn’t veg with it for very long, kept it at 300-500 micromol and it worked great. They were under some cxb3590 before I put in the light, same micromol.

I’ve not changed the height of the light at all, it’s 17” from the net, because I didn’t prune or train the plants in here at all before flipping.

I used my ePAR meter to set the light but right now it’s at where it’s at, I don’t have any more vertical space so they’re getting scorched, above 1300 micromol, and some tops are getting like 1500 because they’re too close, like inches away.

That’s awesome, these all sort of smell like that to varying degrees. Going to make some good smelling rosin!

I think just a little more than a couple weeks left. Everything about 6” or closer to the light is fox tailing from the stress and I’ve got a couple all white tops closer than 2”. I thought they would be really crispy by now. Canopy temps aren’t too high until about 6” away, then leaf temps go over 86f.

I started adding some protekt, calimagic, and gs plant foods kelp to my base jacks 321, 0.5ml/gal of each. Like 0.1-0.2EC of additives.

I’ve got cuts from all three of these, one is pretty fuelly, one is like cherry mothball citrus, one is like cherry fuel oil.

If you've ran any of gps's stardawg crosses you'll know how rare it is to find something that's anything other than 'stardawg with a hint of the other strain' and it sounds like you found 3 of them.
