Gram per watt??

Ive 2 600 watt,one over a 20 pot drip system,and one over an 8 pot drip system,feed them co2 and all the right ventalation,they say ye get a gram per watt-ish,how do they calculate that??i put them into flower at about 18inchs,so do i get 600 grams for each system or watt??

I think the gram per watt calculation is for trying to use the light to its full potential

If you have a few plants under a 600 watt that doesnt mean the total yield will it will be 600g

depending on your setup and knowledge some can make more than 1g a watt

a gram per watt is like the 4 minute mile. Once considered unattainable, and even now only doable by supreme athletes. Most growers are satisfied with a half gram per watt.

only the BEST growers get a gram per watt. just like illegal smile said. its very hard to obtain those results. all variables in your grow have to be perfect and you have to be superb and know what your doing extremely well. also strains might have something to do with it.

i hear what the more experienced growers are saying, my own experience tho my last grow i got 0.62g per watt and that was in soil and i had problems with high temp and humidity.

yes it was dried for 7days (hung upside down) but only cured for a week tho then weighed, i think alot had to do with it being a 600hps just for 2 plants.

im a newb yes but i dont weigh weed wet lol if i had id have got 3-4g a watt! lol

no i dont have pics of the 2 plants in q's i have pics of there mother and also my current vegging clones i veg all my plants for 5-6wks at least.

i did get it wrong actually its actually 0.60666666666666666666 per watt.

13oz = 364g/600watt = 0.606

This comes from Jorge's cannabible. He says you should get .5 grams per watt per month. That is for flowering only. The calculation doesn't take into account veg time or lights. Like Illegal said, it's an ideal. Very few growers get this and I wouldn't even pay any attention to it.
