Guess i watered a little too much this past week or so when its been 95 degrees (f) everyday? Is this something i should try and remedy? Besides cutting back on the water? I assume it’s some kind of algae?

That doesn’t look good at all. If I were you I would get another pot and transplant and throw that thing out . The fabric might not be appropriate for growing in. Try a fabric pot that has established themselves as top of the line and pay the extra money. Wait to water your pot by picking it up and feeling the weight . Only when the pot is light as can be and completely dry , water again .
