Green house selection help

Are the greenhouses you're looking at in the $200-$300 range? I only ask because you mentioned the white or green colors.

My wife wanted one in this price range as well for her succulents and flowers. First one blew away within a week lol. Ended up getting a replacement and had to drop another $150 or so on other materials to make sure she doesn't blow away. Even with the additional lumber to secure it down I don't think it will last very long, maybe 3-4 years. They are cheap and work for the money but just make sure you tie it down more than you think, its one big kite!

I made mine out of PVC pipe and greenhouse plastic because normal clear plastic will become brittle in the sun within a few months so I ended up replacing my plastic 3 times in one summer since I had a giant roll of it then I got the real greenhouse plastic and it’s lasted a couple years now and still like new.
If I was going to build one again I would definitely try to do a stick frame and the clear sheets like tin

one of the major flaws of the hoop house is you have to have a ton of air flow so my ends are open with just screen over them with a stick built door and I had to cut windows down the sides but then the rain just runs into the windows so I ended up putting another layer of greenhouse plastic over it that comes out at an angle at the bottom so the water doesn’t run in the windows and air can still pass through.

I built my 10x20 for 300 before the right plastic so in total like 500 and probably could have bought something better.

Looks like a decent setup. I like how the windows roll up and the ends. In our climate it would be nice to setup a light depervation system over it so can finish flowering before the fall rains start.

I got mine on Amazon. Just search greenhouse plastic and make sure it’s UV resistant

I've always used the clear tarping with the cross stitched reinforcement within it however just like ALOT of the reviews say it gets holes super quick within a season and also drops plastic bits all over your plants and ground areas. Its rains plastic in high winds....

I have also used the normal clear UV plastic as well....although I have never used the wiggle wire tracks that most use for a proper hoop house.

I run a 24x16 hoop 1.5 inch pvc structure. works great. however I have to get a new covering every year.

I just want to get a couple years and am willing to pay more to do so.

Looking for the best overall material brand...

Get real UV resistant greenhouse plastic it will last a long time. I use to use the regular plastic from lowes and had to replace at least once a yr but since I’ve switched to the Greenhouse plastics I have t had to redo it in past 2-3 yrs
