GreenScreen plant testing and screening.

I had a friend get his plants tested by a company he knew an employee from. Well they botched the test for the second time in a row. He was saying something about that they use the cotyledons to test and theres only one set of those per plant. Hence the importance of getting it right the first time. ;) So im wondering if anyone has used the GreenScreen testing and how the results have been? Ive seen their advertising banner on RIU for a while so i was thinking about passing the link on, but dont want to do it if they dont have a stellar reputation. I just dont think he could handle another failed attempt without his head exploding.

Excuse my ignorance as I have not gone researching yet but what would this test be all about, why the test of the cotyledons ?

let's you know if you have a male so you can cull them early and not waste time and space

@Alienwidow is it $10 bucks per plant? that can get pricey.
Ya but 10 bucks a plant isnt that bad when you consider all the wasted time and space, theyre buy two get one free as well, so 20 for three. A guy can waste that much dirt, time, and effort pretty easy on a plant. Or when youre filling a rdwc from seed, lots of reasons to spend the 7 bucks.

Just figure out how to tell which is a male and which is female before flowering, obviously males are taller with generally longer internodes while females are stocky with shorter node spacing. They are taller for better pollen dispersal I believe they've been known to spread that shit for twenty miles.

This isnt always right. Sometimes, not always, and at 20 bucks a bean i wouldnt risk that method.

True, I've heard of people who have been doing it for years without a wrong guess but that may be bullshit..
