Attempting first serious closet grow. Ordered AK47 and Maui Waui from MJSeedsCanada, mailed them cash. Hope I don't get ripped off, anyone used them before? Wanted older strains that others have grown, so hopefully advice and recommendations will be easier to obtain. Using CFLs and TaoTronics 6 band 240w LED, Have one bagseed 3 weeks old in soil, using to fine tune the grow room. Plan on growing 3 plants at a time, my nearest neighbor is 30 yards away, will smell be a problem without filters? Not venting outside, just to another room in the house. Thanks for reading.

You should be fine on smell with just 3. When you vent it in the other room, vent it in a bag a charcoal and you'll be fine.

yes welcome and yes it WILL ! stink your hole house up

Get that filter before they begin to flower, its not that expensive and last you a year depending on how much you run it and how high RH you have (high humidity make em last less)

just keep the ventilation to another room (I do the same) but make it pass a active carbon filter first

Better to be safe than sorry, specially if you're from a 'less enlightened country'.
Get a filter before the flowering starts.

Well my house always smells like dank anyway, lol. Great idea about the charcoal bag! I live in a rural area and have 3 acres, very little foot traffic (no sidewalks).

You do realize that these fancy carbon filters they sell aren't much different from charcoal. They all are made of the same substances for the most part. There are alot of diy filtters out there and they use charcoal. Once the charcoal quits absorbing the smell set outsid in sun for a day and it's recharged. Some people just believe if you spend $100 that its better and they may be right but cheap works fine to.

it will smell nothing like a Bag of nug`s on your table or a blunt smoked indoors, it will STINK like a skunk or two is living in your closed, but I guess you have to see for your self

Thanks guys, I have a long time to get filtered anyway. Better safe than sorry. The metric system makes so much more sense, we have to learn both and the conversions in school (or we did, I think all they teach now is how to put a condom on a cucumber). I work with blueprints all the time and some are in metric and some are "standard"...first thing I do is convert everything to metric.

Sure, as long as you make it go through a filter of some kind, one thing I do know is that even a few plants indoors 24/7 do stink a lot

And sure I love DIY, Im a black smithy, well more do it in stainless steal now a days, but IMO not worth the work when you can buy a filter for around 50$ (unless your on a REALLY low budget)

The carbon in the 5kg buckets cost more then a new filter and then you also have to make some kind of filter to hold it, well up to you, just make sure you have some kind of filter

a few pics of some DIY projects I did

a cool hood for my old 600W

and some active carbon from a cooking ventilation filter

so I have been there, also been with out any, and even tho my neighbors don't mind I couldn't sleep in the stink in the end, after driving around all over town getting a filter/ventilation and running it for a hour or two I finally got a odor free apartment and could sleep ;)

so my advice, get a filter one way or the other, its well worth it

I figure I would throw this out as well...

mine smell during veg. I grow in a second floor, when I'm walking up the stairs and the filter isn't on I smell them. It smells like growing pot plants lol. Anyone who grew before or knows what it smells like will know exactly what your doing. I take smell just as important as lights considering it isn't legal where I live but laws are quite easy if you get caught I think. But anyways, I don't wanna go to jail at all it isn't worth it so I use carbon filter from start to finish... Never know when your friendly neighborhood cop will knock on your door..I got security cameras now so I can view who is outside without having to make noise

We DO have skunks here, but I will get some kind of filter. If I'm going all out, may as well get some more power sockets in the closet and cut a hole in the ceiling to the attic and vent there through a filter maybe? It's a 6x4 feet (1.8288x1.2192 Meters) Walk-in closet, currently have a heavy duty extension cord run into it, and I really don't like that anyway. What do you folks think, vent into another room or attic? And has anyone dealt with MJSeedsCanada? Very few reviews, so I took a chance on them as the big banks seem to be having issues with customs coming across the pond.

If you don't receive if will most likely be customs not MJSeeds. Seeds must be a high margin item so I cant see them duping u out of a few seeds worth of coin. Just my thoughts.
