Grove bags

I Skeptically purchased some bags a few weeks ago (I got the quarter pound bags. I wanted to try their ounce and half pound bags also but they weren't available to buy in the smaller quantities I was looking for) and didn't want to give a positive review too early but here it goes.

First I put some freshly trimmed but FULLY dried buds in jars with bovedas and some in a Grove bag. 3 weeks later and they are pretty identical.

I also threw some old stuff I had just thrown in a zip lock and kind of forgotten about in a bag. I'm thinking it's probably been 8+ months that bag was just sitting in the garage. It was good smoke at one time but this stuff was so dry it just broke down to dust.

So I have left them alone (aside from checking a few times on the fresh stuff to make sure they weren't getting any humidity building up) a couple weeks now and they have the fresh stuff in a perfect place and The dried out stuff has been given a new life. I have already emptied any jars and bags I have laying around into their own Grove bags and they seem to be handling the smaller amounts just as well as the more full bags.
I don't know the science and this is pretty subjective but the bags are every bit as good as bovedas if not superior.

It will be interesting to see how these hold up over time but these would be a game changer for outdoor producers to sit on their product at harvest time without loss of quality.

Full disclosure: I have ZERO affiliation and have never received any free or discounted products from these guys. This is a product I was fully expecting to not work as advertised and to completely shit on. I will post an update if I find anything wrong or if they aren't staying where they need to be.

Anyways that's my rant

Are these the same as Mylar bags
Not exactly. I don't claim to know how they work but they are essentially zip locks that keep the rh at "58-62%". It's been almost 2 months now and the buds I've had curing are coming out of the bags better than the jars with boveda packs.

So I just checked out their website and clearly their off their rockers on their prices. Lol $373.00 for a half pound bag. Maybe your getting a pallet of them but it’s unclear as it appears to be a price for one. Hope I’m wrong. Or does it come with the weed in it

Another farmer thanks' you. Been using boveda for a couple years and will defiantly give the bags a try.

Any time man. It's been another month and these things are still going prefect. Ihad Googled for coupon codes and found a 5% off so if u put in an order you can save a few bucks
So i heard it's better to heat-seal the bags, did you do that or just the normally closed it with the "zipper"?

I'm asking because i've had my bud in 'em for a week now, closed normally, no heat seal, and they are a little on the dry side, compared to the bud i have in jars with bovedas, actually if i'm already thinking about it i think i'm just going to seal 'em up (imma try with a hair straightener like i do mylar bags)

"The biggest factor for getting the most out of your Grove Bag is to make sure your cannabis is properly dry and the inner moisture is both released and regulated. "

It sounds like they reccomend, that you dry your cannabis enough so when you put it into the bags it is already at the desired RH.

So basically ya'll buying fancy Mylar bags

Mylar bags keep the rh inside between 58-62? Lol I've never had that happen before?

I didn't on all of them but you have to leave a first worth of air, you can seal or not, but i would imagine you have to leave it closed up longer than a week. As long as it's good and dry close the bag up good and seal it for 3 weeks and check back then. I thought the same thing until I had left the bag closed a few weeks

Check out reddit if you want some other reviews BTW :blsmoke:

Yeah. It's all good bro you bought some fancy Mylar bags.

Mylar bags are actually originally purposed for food storage. So the foil on the inside is what insulates them.
It keeps the moisture steady as the contents and is air tight. You got hussled

What they mean is airtight zipper.

Next time you go to a shop, buy some Seed Junky Genetics. Ask them for a discount or something.
How do you suppose they keep those buds in that mylar bag like that?

Not a problem bro, is like people who talk trash about seed junky without ever trying them you feel me? There are plenty of those kinda people in this world. There is no Mylar, ask someone else who has bought them if you don't belive me. Go ahead and do your cure in a mylar. But hey I'll leave you to talking about shit you don't know anything about? I hear all the cool kids on the internet are doing it nowadays. I believe my kids call them "trolls"?

Tell you what.. I've used boveda packs, Mylar bags (always AFTER cure though, maybe I didn't have to? ) , and Grove bags so I can personally talk about my experience.

You are just a kid talking shit about a product you have no experience with.. I'll leave you to it

That's great... Sorry if I offended you and your Mylar bags

They dry (properly) and put the flowers in the mylar bags. No extra step.

That's why the Mylar Bags work. The foil on the inside.
You're drying your bud to the point of cure and putting it into an airtight container.

No need to flash experience :blsmoke:

I'm convinced you could market anything to cannabis growers and they would pay a premium for it. I wouldn't waste my money on these gimmicky bags.

Absolutely nobody is telling you to. I'm sure you have a much better system for curing anyways. Thanks for checking in
