Grow room liquid containment

Looking to set up two grow rooms in basement for max 48 plant grow (2 rooms, veg and bloom, both at 6.5'x14'). Floors are finished so need to be protected against uv, over watering and spills. Wanting to build containment that I can collect and pump into a drain after watering. What are y'all using? I was thinking 2x4 frame with rubber roof membrane inside. Is that overkill? What are suggestions?

My flower room is 13 x 26 or 28. I stripped my flooring out so it's bare concrete. If you got drywall in there strip it out and put reseal everything. If not you'll eventually get some mold. Also why not use both rooms as it's own room. Start to finish

Get flood trays they come in all sizes 4x8 prolly being the most popular. build frames or buy them to get the trays off the ground, angle, make a hole and drain using pvc.

I've considered it but I want to cover my entire available grow area to maximize plant space so need as close to the 6.5'x14' size or as close as possible.

45 mil pond liner is good for making custom size catch trays.

Whatever you build, incorporate a little tilt towards the drain so you can avoid any standing water that can raise humidity, breed fungus gnats and is just generally unpleasant.

I prefer to use a bucket in a bucket type setup so I don't have any open drainage.

sounds like your in a basement, if you have bare concrete and the house has a sump pit if the sump isnt to far away could cut the concrete floor and run a drain to the sump pit, im slowly building a room in my basement im planning on running my condensate line for my mini split and the dehumidifier to the sump to pump everything to the waste water for the house.

Yeah, finished basement with finished floors. Planning on moving soon so don't want to mess anything up too bad. Think ill try the pond liner for temp.
