Grow tent Newbie

Hi all, starting my first grow at the start of November and looking to get this http://www.getupandgrow.ie/acatalog/Starter_Kits.html ..The 600 watt hobby kit is the one ill be buying. Just wondering how many plants I should grow in here and roughly what I should be aiming for per plant(oz)... It comes with a 600 watt HPS. Should I buy one for flowering too or will this pretty much do what I need. Thanks in advance..

ive heard you gotta watch your heat leval with the HPS. please let me know if your ganja can be smelled from outside the tent. my stump is killen and ive been bogarting a joint for weeks.

I was gonna ask the same question as you at some point mate. I've got the Secret Jardin DR150 mkll (5x5x7) and I've also got a 600wat dual HPS, I ordered 5 beans from attitude, but (sigh) I got 2 free. so, its 7 now!! I only ordered 5 Airpots, but thats not really relevant, I just dont know if 7 in there will be very good. We'll stick it out and hope a pro-grower helps..

Thanks for the replies. Im living in Ireland so I dont think heat should be an issue. How are ye planning on venting your tent? Im thinking maybe like a plasterboard over the window with a whole cut out for the duct and just leave the window open. Obviously need some sort of blind or something so that people outside cant see in

the 600watts kits are the best the tent should be 1.2m x 1.2m and fit 9 plants easy go for white widow or white domina , top 44 they all produce well high resisstance for mould and any other problems good luck the 600watts hps are duall spectrum and are perfect for veg and flowering what nutrients concern I recomend IONIC black bottles 1 for veg, 1 for bloom(flowering) and 1 Boost you can't go wrong about £8 a bottle this will do you a few crops

Thanks for the info man. Is ducting your exhause fumes neccessary if you have a carbon filter in your grow tent? I was thinking about scrogging with maybe four plants as I imagine the penalties if caught are less..Have you ever scroged in a grow tent?

so pls how is the smell?

I dunno how they smell as I havent started the grow yet...Thats why I was wondering if ducting was neccessary due to smell and ventilation

someone told me put the scrubber on the inside with exhaust facing out duct tape to seal. and it will create negative pressure inside the tent so smeel stays in with your fan from the outside pulling out side air in to maintain it. up untill you turn it all off. i hope i restated everything right.

no problem i got a visual the set up makes sence. k grow tent at the top is your air scrubber pulling air out, the other side will have a fan facing in so the air its sucking from outside the tent goes in.

Can anyone answer my question regarding whether I need to vent exhausts out through a window and also what yield should I be aiming for in my first grow per plant
