Grow tent ventilation questions.

Just ordered a 4x4x7 tent and will have a 400w hps in it. I was curious if anyone could tell me roughly how much ventilation I will need. With what I currently have I can generate ~250 cfm of exhaust and have some 4inch fans for intake. Will this be enough? Never used a tent before so not sure how hot its going to be.:fire:

hey man, i've asked ventilation questions about 10 times in here and it's very hard getting a response. i have a grow tent, it's the same size as yours. right now i only have a 400 watt HPS and what i do is i keep the door slightly open and use an oscillating fan to blow in cool air. this seems to keep the temp and humidity down. i'm getting a 250 CFM fan in the mail sometime this week and as soon as i do i'm adding another 400 watter so we'll see how well the fan performs.

also, if you're adding a filter to your fan expect the CFM to drop.

So you have no exhaust? What is your average temp?

i have my thermometer hanging at the top of the tent and the temp this morning was around 80 with the door open and the fan blowing in cool air.

and no for the moment i haveno exhaust but i should be getting my fan soon
